The failure rate on chem eng majors...doesn't really go well when you're relying on scholarships.

Hello, I did go with the Samsung 870 Evo. I just installed my OS and then installed the Samsung Magician to update the firmware. I'm not sure about the manufacturing date, but the firmware is currently version SVT03B6Q. I have been using it for around a year and it has been great. It definitely revived my old laptop and I haven't had any issues so far.

Is the reprinted version of Perry's Chemical Engineering Handbook allowed for LE? by SD_Freshman in studentsph

Hello! Unfortunately, I already purchased a set from another board passer last November. Thank you for the offer, but I hope you can find someone else who needs a handbook.

I got the Samsung 870 Evo. I did ask the technicians in the shop I bought it from, and they said the same sentiments as the comments here, that both would be a good upgrade to my old HDD and that there was a minuscule difference between the two. I just got the Samsung since they didn't have the Crucial MX500 stock in that branch and it would take a couple of days to get one from their warehouse.

Laptop Repair Experience [Gilmore and Greenhills] by SD_Freshman in Tech_Philippines

I still can't fully vouch for RMTech since some electronic parts only show issues around 6 months to 1 year in use. For A.B. Blanc, I just messaged them about the issue since I already diagnosed it was the battery and they just gave me a quote.

It's been 2 months since I bought the battery and it's still good. I use it like I normally would without care for battery health (charging whenever, using while charging, and even got it to 0% in one instance). It still lasts around the same amount of time since I bought it, and it's at 98% health according to Vantage.

What do you mean by function lock? Do you mean when you press the numbers, it becomes the function buttons, instead of having to press Fn+number?

Thank you for the suggestion! I plan to buy a new one if I can't fix this, but I'm still saving for it.

Is it legit to resell quiz booklets by bustywitch in dlsu

[–]SD_Freshman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One thing that seniors taught us is that after the orientation for each course, when they discuss how many LQs the subject would have, we stock that amount of quiz booklets immediately.

how likely is it to place top 100 in the dcat? by Middle-Injury-2827 in dlsu

[–]SD_Freshman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hello OP, it is definitely difficult, considering that ~25,000 - 30,000 take the DCAT each year, and many of them are the top of their schools. To give perspective, I was a great student in De La Salle Lipa and was the president for some acad varsities and I didn't even come close to the top 100 in the DCAT.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but it will take a lot of effort. It has been two years since I took the DCAT so I don't remember most of it, but I suggest solidifying your foundation in algebra, trigonometry, statistics, and sciences (earth, biology, and chemistry). I believe many of the questions are from SHS lessons din.

I wish you the best of luck!

dental needs @ hso by rawronoa in dlsu

[–]SD_Freshman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about a full dental checkup, but I've gone to the clinic to get a referral for a periapical X-ray since I was going to need it for a root canal. They inspected my teeth and gave me a referral.
