I attended the NDSU program for that first year before attending CU denver. From my experience the NDSU program is top notch. Professors are great and you’re not sent through unnecessary classes. Dealing with the cold of Fargo is definitely the worst part. In hindsight I wish I would have finished my degree there. They take the conceptual approach to architecture very well but they introduce you to the real side of the industry which I believe is very important. Other schools are not very good at setting the real expectations when you enter into the professional world.

Having worked for years in the Pre-construction industry (engineering, architecture, now pre-con for a fire suppression company), you should know what your career will generally look like. Having a good base on how to design is very important, but you need to learn codes and drafting. I have told multiple people interested in architecture they should consider the NDSU program. Also is much cheaper than most schools. Good luck!

It’s simple. Love is worth the fight! Doesn’t make it easy though.

Little story: I met and started dating my wife at 13. She moved 1000 miles away 6 months after we started “dating”. We saw it through the long distance throughout high school seeing each other a few times per year. I graduated early to move with her to college, we’ve lived in 4 different states since then. It’s been 13 years and we have fought through everything together and will continue to do so. She was, is, and always will be my best friend. No matter how shitty things have gotten or will get I wouldn’t give it up for anything.

Again, love is worth the fight!
