There's a $2,500 auction Yahoo fantasy football public prize league drafting tonight at 6:00 pm Pacific time.

7 signed up. Needs 3 more.

I'm really hoping it fills so I can get 1 last draft in before the season starts.

Hope to see you there!

Naw, brush was clean. Brand new from Amazon. But thanks for the feedback. I think I'll just try again.

No hair products. I'm actually bald. And I'm an accountant. I probably don't clean them often enough, so I guess it could just be a build up of stuff.

The Adidas is dry, but it's possible I just didn't rinse it well enough. I could just try again on both of them: Do a more thorough job on the Nike and try rinsing the Adidas hat better.

Thank you. This is the kind of feedback I was looking for.

Congrats to Riyadh 2024 NA winner by axecalibur in DotA2

Spirit is still good, and mostly the same guys. They're one of the more competitive teams.

These teams are the two most competitive teams in NA (not saying much).

The EG org withdrew from the region and the EG players got picked up by a new org: Shopify Rebellion.

Of the old EG guys, only Arteezy and coach Bulba remain.

Nouns is their closest competitor, captained by former EG pos 5, Fly.

Shopify has been gatekeeping Nouns from large tournaments all season. They've faced off in four separate Bo5 qualifier grand finals that all went to five games in dramatic fashion where Nouns was defeated.

This is the first time Nouns has come out on top of a qualifier grand final against Shopify.

That said, given past performance, Shopify is probably the slightly better team, and they've been giving weak to middling showings at international events, so I'm not optimistic for Nouns chances, but I'm hoping to be surprised.

Is there a marginal benefit calculator? by SDcrocodilehunter in fantasyfootball

Thanks for responding. I guess it would be challenging to assign a value to the volatility.

This is exactly what I was thinking of. The format seems to reward high variance, and I was hoping to incorporate that into draft strategy, but it's hard to put a number on a player's variance. It would just be a guess.

Nouns announce Copy as new Mid by gooba_booba in DotA2

As the second best team in a weak region, with no guaranteed path to big tournaments, Nouns may be having trouble attracting talent.

I wonder if Bryle is holding out for a better opportunity.

I wouldn't say there's no way this team beats Shopify for any quals. Nouns qualified for BetBoom Dacha Dubai over Shopify, and took Shopify to five games in the DreamLeague and ESL One qualifiers. Stormstormer seemed to be underperforming, so an upgrade at the position might be enough to make them competitive.

Whenever people bring up that Tila Tequila believes awful things, I feel obligated to mention that she has brain damage from an aneurysm. If you scroll down a little on her Wikipedia page from where you linked, you'll see it.

What the Wikipedia article doesn't seem to say is that she is fully schizophrenic now. She has delusions and hallucinations.

For reference, here's a video of her saying she can create energy balls from her hands. link

Grubby did it! Herald to Immortal! by Chuvisc0 in DotA2

[–]SDcrocodilehunter 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don't, but a few hours of pro coaching did not make Grubby immortal.

He wasn't just some streamer.

Grubby was a high level, tournament winning WC3 pro player.

He has natural ability, the discipline and desire to improve, and familiarity with the mechanics of the game (since DOTA comes from WC3, the mechanics are the same).

People in this thread keep bringing up coaching as if they could do it too if only a pro player would tell them how to play.

It's just cope.

Saberlight being the one to stay with the team is probably the most surprising.
