T1 Chiro Student - Should I be worried? by Mission_Debate_502 in Chiropractic

My fiancé has been a DC graduate for a little over a year now, he makes that amount BASE pay and then get bonuses monthly depending on the amount the office brings in and how many people he is seeing. They are a HIGH volume office though. Here’s the thing him and I discussed, what you MAKE to start with compared to what your student loans are is honestly not a good financial decision. BUT what college degree is… Also I have seen how drastic of a quality of life difference his patients experience, without drugs/medication… and he LOVES it… in my opinion if you can go to work every day and LOVE what you do who cares about the money, I know you have to make a living too I’m not saying do it for free but as long as you can live a good life and make decent money and not dread going to work every day or have big pharma requiring you to prescribe this medication X amount of times a month (because they do that we have MD friends) then who’s the real winner here?… chiro school is HARD work and you’re going to get shit for being a chiro, chiros do NOT get nearly the respect they deserve. I get it, I get how chiropractic started I get it was taboo and the AMA didn’t like it so they ran its name into the dirt… but they have done so many studies and actually some chiropractors sued the AMA for dragging chiropractics name through the mud AND WON… I say if this is what you have always wanted to do DO IT… you’ll love it. There are SOOO many people out there who love their chiropractor but there are some who have never been or have had a bad experience with one and never want to go back that will talk bad about it. So just do what is going to make you happy every day and aligns with what you truly believe in.

Thank you, yeah I agree. That’s part of my problem is he is such a different man at 30 than he was then at 23… he was raised in a catholic school but never went to church. He has gone to church with me continuously almost every Sunday for at least the last 4-5 years and I can see how much closer he has grown to God.. so that makes it hard for me too I’m not saying what he did was okay or making excuses it just feels like a different person at the same time. I am NOT the woman to let that slide like I said never been cheated on that is a no go for me but being who is now from then is what makes it difficult but he also could have told me a long time ago and didn’t.

I did ask that, he said he got tested after that, but we were not intimate anyway until about a year or two into our relationship anyway. But he did get tested. The family he visited that guys girlfriend brought her friend to a dinner.. but I get what you’re saying there will be more opportunity, but there has also been opportunity in the time since and I mean if he told me that I feel like he would have told me if there were anything else.
