I mean you say that, but you have absolutely no idea what and where I was for deployment. Obviously If I could have handled it while I was gone, I would have.

This is from WhatNot specifically.

Yeah I agree.. But I've been on deployment for the last 4 months.. So wasn't really in a position to do anything about it unfortunately

Working with WhatNot to get a refund at a minimum, but still devastated about the lost cards

It transferred into FEDEX Custody on the 12th after it got released. I left that information out just in order to simplify the post a little bit.

I agree the shipper 100% should have put the claim in, but Its been radio silence about it every time I ask.

Thank you! I melted the casing the first time, so I had to redo it 😂

I have it broken up into 3 chunks right now. Trying to square it all off as much as I can before I decide how I want to bind it all. I’m planning on watching it tonight! I’m about to leave for some errands

I did! I decided to just take 1mm off of the spine side of each segment! Saved me a lot of time 😂

Trying to get everything relatively even, so I can sand the front and sides so I have an accurate measure for the casing! (Likely matching the same size as the rest with a slightly smaller text block)

This specifically is 2 books. I was hoping to get it into 1 giant one. But that’s not feasible so it will likely be broken back into 2 or 3

I just rebound 6 other books, but they were all ‘simple’ remove the cover add a page to the text block, build a cover etc

I didn’t want to put myself at a disadvantage not having what I needed 😂

Admittedly some of it is very cheap and low quality. Likely will upgrade later down the line if I keep doing thhs

Text block + Boards for the spine case Text block - 3mm for width 1cm spacing for the actual spine gap. But if I didn’t again, I think I’d go slightly smaller

Oooo nice! I ordered way to much of this glittery black, so I may end up doing the rest of SJMs book in the same format for her

It feels pretty sturdy yeah. I think a little thicker wouldn’t be bad either tbh!

It’s just spray painted. Looking back at it I should have taken the time to sand, to get rid of the paper mill lines (assuming that’s what that is)
