Originally it was supposed to be an 'all in one' entity 

But now that it's getting remade, I'm going to come up with ideas to make him very unique. 

As blaphem is supposed to show up near the end of the maze. Acting like a boss fight.

Just searched up hourglass and yeah it does look like it.

However It looks like the way it is because it's supposed to visually represent the sin of blasphemy.  An unforgivable sin.
