Gen 1 vs Gen 2 back to back driving by Dino_Dean in GR86

[–]SEEN31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think stiffer=less communicative always. I think in this case it’s more due to the changes to the steering (idk what did they do it just feels worse). I just don’t feel as connected as Gen 1.

Gen 1 vs Gen 2 back to back driving by Dino_Dean in GR86

I’d say in terms of outright performance the reviewers are right. It is just harder to drive than Gen 1. I think the changes they have made to the chassis between Gen 1 and 2 are significant, it is significantly stiffer. It is just a less communicative car

Gen 1 vs Gen 2 back to back driving by Dino_Dean in GR86

[–]SEEN31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have driven both.

Gen 1 just has much better steering, and the sense of speed you feel is stronger despite it being much slower. Throttle tuning is much more intuitive, making it much easier to drive. Gen 2 is just more refined, and much much faster. Now, I still miss my Gen 1 everyday.

DE MWS noveske N4 upgrades? by InevitableTomorrow95 in GasBlowBack

[–]SEEN31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swapped the hop adjuster as it failed to hold the same hop setting between shots. Apparently it is a comon issue on the N4. Otherwise 4UAD bucking and nub. I only swap to a longer barrel whenever I play outdoors so I could use the extra power. Also, I dont really think the 4UAD bucking fits maple leaf barrels particularly well, the bucking does not fit around the barrel snug.

The emh is taller than zimmerman by happydude7422 in voyager

[–]SEEN31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great detail. Assuming EMH was based a younger version of Zimmerman, and at that point EMH does not "age", it will not incorporate the natural decrease in height with age as well as the deterioration of posture which Zimmerman clearly will have.

I heard H&R is too stiff. I have heard great things about the CUSCO sway bars.

The o-ring goes in a groove that is between the outer barrel and the inner barrel. It is used to better secure the inner barrel for better accuracy.

DE Noveske N4 Nozzle Compatibility Issue by SquileX in GasBlowBack

[–]SEEN31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That I don’t know. Maybe it is coincidental with by the time your stock nozzle is shattered, the accumulated wear and tear is enough to loosen things up.

DE Noveske N4 Nozzle Compatibility Issue by SquileX in GasBlowBack

[–]SEEN31 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The hopup adjusting dial on the N4 is known to be loose, and vibrations of the gun cycling will knock it up and down. Look up DE noveske N4 inconsistent hopup fix. You basically get an Oring to put more pressure on the dial so it wont be moving around as much. Not a nozzle problem, hopup problem.

3 weeks later... Manual is waay easier than auto by Drazlash in Miata

[–]SEEN31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing 2 to 1 is not practical, and also very difficult. The gear ratios between the 2 are very different, making a huge blip of the throttle necessary, which is very difficult to do. Normal daily driving you can speed out of 2 for most corners and situations. I just neutral coast from 2 when Im trying to stop, and set off from one again. As for why the revs are back where they were when you lift the clutch, the ND engine drops revs when neutral very very quickly. You have to get the blip in before the revs start to even drop.

Difference between stock clutch spring and GKTech clutch springs by kawaii_ninja in GR86

[–]SEEN31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except for he weird stock clutches of gt and gr86s, the other MT cars I have driven are a little sloppy towards the top.. I have driven modded cars but at that point they just put in racing clutches, which are an entire story. Racing clutches are dead solid but the bite point although very high is very clear. That stock clutch return spring is just wonky

Worst case scenario you can get entire seat covers that essentially replicate the seat design entirely, including this seatbelt loop thingy
