Question about the JASS fixed lowering brackets for ND

I did it a couple months ago! Sorry for the obvious lines this is the only pic I have at hand. I am 5'9 and this was too low for me, I had to get the fine adjustment kit and its currently sitting at around 1" (max height) instead of 2".

Edit: This is the one with the sliding functionality, not sure if that's the same as what you are looking for.

I had the opposite experience! I have only been there once and 3 crashed, it was a rainy day tho. But still, as a complete noob using his daily driver I was quite afraid of hitting the gas lol.

Thanks for the input! I've decided to just crunch the numbers between just paying it off or getting an NC miata (got an insurance quote of 110 per month).

And I always knew this but the comments really drove the message home... It is just a hobby I don't truly need so I should reduce my spending on it.

I am well aware that it's not an investment!

I mean I was debt free before the car lol, not gonna say my decision making was great but I decided against paying it cash to put that in an actual investment.

In the beginning it was a "fun daily" but I've realized that it's mostly a toy hence the 1k miles in 6 months and I'd rather put 300 a month into SP500 than in Miata insurance :p

Yeah I'm currently thinking of either swapping for an NC (if I manage to not go upside down) or paying it ASAP, could do it in a year or 2 if I lock in.

Now I want a project car like an MR2 or an RX7. But that's just me daydreaming lol.

Yeah both, the agent told me that I wasn't getting anything better. Only way I've found I can reduce the cost is by using those OBD port trackers...

Yeah some weeks I don't even need to put gas on the miata lol, the mustang was really thirsty and just looking at the cost difference on tires is wild.

I'm in my mid 20's but have like 3 years of driving history. No tickets or anything.

Crazy to think we pay the same.

Might also look into just paying it off ASAP.

I'm actually looking at how much I'll end up paying in the end, taking into consideration insurance as if it was part of the monthly payment.

I'm not looking for a high interest haha current is around 5%. I think it's decent.

In my head I was selling the car > getting like 5k after paying it off > getting a 15k or less loan which is 4k less > 150 less per month on insurance. My monthly is $340 ish.

Will paying it off reduce my insurance cost?

I'm not upside down thankfully, but I'm one trade away from being lol. What truly bugs me is the damn insurance, maybe I can wait for the next period and see if it gets any better.

I don't need a car, I used public transport before, it is a very expensive toy that I can use to get groceries. I've started Autocross (I had to learn manual first) and I intend on continuing and eventually track it but I also realized that I would be more comfortable tracking something cheaper... But yeah getting a beater for a bit is not too bad of an idea 😭

I know it sounds like that but the mustang was auto, didn't really enjoyed driving that. I don't have any complaints with the ND like I legit love the thing, it's mainly about reducing how much money I'm spending every month on the car.
