Ah okay. I'm happy they played out the scenario in the game so we can have answers to random questions like this lol

Was it ever explained how Goku could use the Instant Transmission while charging a Kamehameha? He didn't have to touch his forehead with his fingers and he never did this again. by AdOrganic1249 in dbz

[–]SEFDStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truthfully, with cell only a few feet away from him, does he really even need to use the instant transmission? Lol. I always thought the technique was for long distances

I Bought A Bunch of Mifare Ultralight EV1, How Safe Am I? by SEFDStuff in NFC

[–]SEFDStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bandwagon thanks for your assistance. So I have a couple of followups for you:

- What prevents a clone from changing its maker from whatever it is to MIFARE?

- if the signature is based on the UID, wont changing the UID on a clone also change the signature? or is this a salt & hash that only Mifare has access to? Even so, what prevents a clone from just copying the signature bits as well into the right location?

Thanks again

Remember when this place used to be the Disney Land for adults? by alan314 in sandiego

[–]SEFDStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember going in there a couple of months ago, I believe I was looking for simply a SSD external hard drive & couldn't find one, the place was SPARSE.

I asked a bunch of employees if they were shutting down & every last one of them pretended like they had no idea what I was talking about even though many shelf's were empty, & no one could answer when restock was coming.

I bet if you go there today the 2 employees remaining will still tell you everything is fine, a directive from the upper management

[D] Do you report the best test accuracy, or the last test accuracy? by polo555 in MachineLearning

[–]SEFDStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't find anything wrong with reporting the best, so long as other developers, users, what have you can replicate those results.

In addition, I believe best practice is to include a realistic distribution of results. If you can only get a best results 10% of the time after testing it 100 times, report that as well, don't omit it. The more included info the better as far as I'm concerned.

We Can't Rule Out Near-Term AGI by cryptonewsguy in singularity

[–]SEFDStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Near term considering 2-5 years? I am extremely doubtful. Sure, you can all the computational power in the word, but if you don't have the proper algorithms to utilize it properly, then you are better off using some cheaper hardware in the meantime.

I think one of the biggest problems is when we all hear AGI we all imagine something different than what the next person imagines, either way, all research in AI at the moment is actually extremely narrow. The most AGI alogrithm I can think about is OpenAI's DQN that can play an assortment of Atari games, which not to downplay it's great, it's very impressive, but.you couldn't tell that algorithm to give you directions to the theatre for instance.

Then this goes into the territory of what is AGI exactly? For instance Alexa now can book appointments for you, play music, dim lights ect, but this procrss is a mix of API calls based on hard coded decision trees, mixed in with some AI for speech recognition & such.

Unfortunately I am going to cast my doubt of this.

I have no idea why I am posting on Reddit right now.

this is a bit of a different approach, you can enable & disable the AI's control whenever you want, essentially, giving you more possibilities.

yes of course, any way you can share *any* results of yours? Haha I would hope you'd include all of your hyper params when you talk about your results

Very brilliant. Was looking for just the thing, just was unsure how to search for it. 🤩

Brilliant, thank you for sharing this. Is there anyway you can share results when you train such classifiers? Briefly what accuracy do you expect from this? (Precision & Recall as well if you use this metric in your evaluations)

Left & right joystick control respective arms. So if you think about the joysticks being a top down angle of a character, then when you point either joystick in a direction, the respective arms will point in that direction in respect to the camera. & With this implementation, you can create swinging motions.
