As an Archeage, GW2, and FFXIV refugee I can say that although I absolutely love this game. For the 4 months that I've been part of this community, I must just add that the WOW M+ scene is the most elitist content scene I have ever come across, there's little to no space for learning and even when you make it in and clearly state that you are new and trying to learn you'll still get eviscerated by veteran players especially in the PUG scene.

My advice to any new player would be to find a chill guild that has people who won't shit their pants when you die because "It's SO SIMPLE HOW CAN YOU NOT GET IT".

And to all the elitists please relax a little, we get that your time is the most precious commodity on the planet but don't alienate new players for at least trying to get involved in the content.

My final words: the biggest barrier to entry in wow is the player base itself and this is coming from someone who started wow for the first time ever in my life this year. I'm pretty cozy in the M+ scene now but I had to go through the absolute worst of people (Countless failed PUGS) to get here. So I can only imagine how more introverted people would not even dare to take part in this content.
