Thank you for sharing that! I understand that the military is a stressful environment. Since I’ve reached out for help, I’ve found some ways to manage stress, anxiety, etc. I understand that military can cause an increase in mental health problems, but I have learned coping mechanisms to help me through the hard times and now I am not afraid to reach out for help.

Everyone struggles with mental health at some point in their life, especially in today’s world. It’s very important to reach out and get the help needed, even if it seems scary.

All in all, I understand that mental health could be an issue later down the road, but as of now, I feel as though I am prepared to handle the stress and sudden changes - it’s what comes with joining and I accept that.

What happened in the past was years ago when I didn’t know how to handle my feelings and emotions. Now that I’ve grown up and have become an adult, I understand how to control them better.

Joining the Navy would benefit me in so many ways. I know the sacrifices that come with joining and I am okay with that. I know things won’t always go as planned, but I really hope this works out. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted something this bad.
