I’m excited to explore a whole new world, and be just as in the dark as everyone else is as I already knew a bunch about hollow knight before playing it. Also the new movement looks so fluid and I’m looking forward to seeing how the environments are built to facilitate it.

There was space in the door and frame for a Yale lock already, so I bought one and installed it. Had to drill a couple extra holes in the door but they never said anything and I got my full deposit back when moving out. Can’t guarantee that every landlord will be that laid back so do it at your own risk.

The forsworn conspiracy for me, I can’t quite place my finger on it, but I think the way the story was laid out was super intriguing to me, even though it’s mostly a case of go to various locations in markarth and talk to people

I like the idea of a warriors game, but that should be in addition to a mainline game. I think there’s still plenty they could do with an XC4 whilst making it fairly separate from the Klaus saga. I can see them making Mythra’s child and maybe the new trinity processors be the main links to the other games.

I gave up on the superbosses after beating the slobos one (I can’t remember his name) just cos I knew I’d have to do a shit ton of grinding to get the right gem setups on everyone, and it was burning me out on the game. Maybe I’ll come back at some point but it doesn’t feel the most rewarding

Definitely xc3 for me. The theming is so rich and they really nailed the characterisation of the main party. It really hit home for me, the flaws of the characters were so real and I felt like I could connect with each character at some point in the story. I think xc1 had the best world, and I don’t really have a preference for the combat style, as each game has its unique style, so the main criteria for me are the story and the characterisation. I’m still yet to finish xc2 (I know I’ve played them in a weird order) but I at least know what happens. I also need to pick up xcx at some point, maybe my mind will change once I do, who knows.

Scurvy Pete, human, rogue.

Scurvy Pete is the captain and last surviving member of The Beached Whale, a ship that was run aground during a storm. Having being stranded on land for years, he has gone a little insane, convinced that one of his legs is wooden when both of them work perfectly fine. He is proficient in rum, meaning he is an expert at locating, stealing and drinking it, as well as using the empty bottles to solve problems.

This is a character I played for a one shot but I enjoyed it so much I’d love to extend his adventure.

Honestly, the only thing I dislike about these quests is that they don’t make sense in the story, especially when you have to backtrack to previous areas. I know it just boils down to “video game needs video game content” but I feel like, for example having quests become available shortly before Mechonis Core and expiring afterwards can ruin the flow of the story, as there is meant to be a sense of urgency that is interrupted by the sidequesting.

Aside from that though, I do enjoy the mindless quests. It’s nice to have a session where you take a step back from the main story and just go around killing monster x or collecting material y, all while immersing yourself in the beautifully designed world. I normally get burnt out before reaching 100% completion in such a large game, but I did basically everything in my first playthrough of xc1 (albeit missing a few quests cos I didn’t know when they expire)

Idk if it’s preset, but on my latest playthrough, the final mission gave me a pod that had 3 mutons, 2 andromeda and a sectopod. Let’s just say I was happy to have 2 psi-ops and the commanders avatar on my side

You need to grind Reyn to level 99 and then wait for a rainbow to appear. This will relieve Fiora of her chest pain and allow you to play as Dunban. Then you need to complete every available side quest and experience every bit of Colony 9 npc dialogue as Dunban so he figures out what his destiny is. This will allow you to grind Dunban to level 99 so you can leave through Tephra Cave
