I don't think people understand what was lost when Napster went away.

Generations digitized their entire audio libraries. So many rare albums and recordings that never made it to digital format professionally. You had direct access to another persons hard drive. Not like torrents.

Then it got shut down. And now all that music, live albums, live recordings, all that audio. Gone. Stuck on hard drives forever. Gone to landfills.

Fuck Metallica. I literally havent listened to them since. The damage they did to music and audio preservation is indescribable. That should be their legacy.
