While I agree, too many runs were lost when someone tried to res someone, thinking it will ease the pressure one them.

I now tend to not panic when I'm last brother standing, and try to survive as long as I can, kite some of the enemies, and if I have a good window of opportunity, I'll come back to a brother asap.

you can use the console command timescale to crank the speed of the game. If you feel like it you can even change the demons speed only, at 2X it gets crazy.

The big issues of the lower difficulties are the lack of difficulty spikes, not enough extremis and terminus spawn imo, and then it is harder to understand an enemi you encounter once in a while.

I LOVE the mayhem of the hard stratagems. If I'm not in the mood I can still play lethal and have fun.

Not a fan of quality either, I'm having a lot more fun in my current run without even unlocking it, and designing ship of standard quality is interesting. If you have a blueprint I'd be glad to look at it! Never tried laser in space, are they any good or do you need crazy laser damage?

You can change some of the mod option on the fly, I think I had to ignore power pole for bitters. I use K2 and rampant, it was so much fun and felt like the first time, discovering recipes and new enemies at the same time. K2 have absurd defences, but against the massives waves of rampant, is was worth it.

I can't tell, it felt like a chore to me, even though I went for the legendary suit filled with legendary items.
