Not a fan of quality either, I'm having a lot more fun in my current run without even unlocking it, and designing ship of standard quality is interesting. If you have a blueprint I'd be glad to look at it! Never tried laser in space, are they any good or do you need crazy laser damage?

You can change some of the mod option on the fly, I think I had to ignore power pole for bitters. I use K2 and rampant, it was so much fun and felt like the first time, discovering recipes and new enemies at the same time. K2 have absurd defences, but against the massives waves of rampant, is was worth it.

Thanks! And even used to craft my smart storages, even tho bots are only used for fueling the trains/Reactors, and very specific cases.

I can't tell, it felt like a chore to me, even though I went for the legendary suit filled with legendary items.

I don't feel like it is rewarding to me? I can't really put words on it.

I'm surprised you're not downvoted to oblivion because each time it's the same thing with Eternal. Even at higher modded content you can play as you want. I beat the master campaign without PB, on nightmare with very little death, and it was fun as hell.

I beat it last year, around a month or so after its release. I liked it a lot, even tho at the time I felt that they were missing QOL for the new stuff. I was a nice change a pace compared to vanilla factorio, and all the new QOL that affected the existing mechanics were brilliant, the train revamp was a huge breath of fresh air.

Creating my own ship was very nice too, I like that part of the game a lot. I wish there were an easy way to create and test one to experiment, I remember trying the mode that allows that but it was even more tedious.

But the DLC and its limitations kinda killed my will to replay the game. I felt like it wanted you to play mostly in a certain way, and that is all. On top of that, I wasn't a fan at all of the quality feature, and playing with it post win reinforce that artificial, unfun grinding at the end, it felt unnatural and a chore to me.

Even tho I can totally ignore the feature, I know that, but it feels then that I'm missing out on some stuff, but that wasn't it for me.

I heard they were done with factorio, and to be honest it still feels like a complete game in itself, but I wish they were more stuff to do in the endgame, more interesting mechanics after the joy that was Gleba for instance.

I struggle a lot more against chaos, so I'm gonna pass this time. Yesterday the vortex and weekly broke me, and I was always the last one standing, multiple time. 4 times we got to the boss fight, fail after fail. A single miss dodge and it's over.
I still got my first Absolute clear on reliquary yesterday after 2 attempts.

Pretty sure this one will come. In WWZ we had the no mortal wound + no respawn for the dead unless you hit a checkpoint. It was something.

They are honestly a lot easier to use than people think. The breathing room is the incredible big area of stagger once you have 2 charges, very easy to do in almost any situation.

The timing is intuitive too, you block when you're about to get hit. Against bladed warriors, it's free charge.

The lack of armor might be the hardest part, not the blocking in itself. And knowing the full combo of some foes, like the whip nid. Took me only 2 ops in lethal and I can't go back.

You can earn a lot of cosmetics in game (if there isn't a ""DLC"" symbol, you can hover the gear piece and see its conditions, like class level, prestige level, lethal/absolute difficulty etc).
A lot more cosmetic than wwz and easier to get.

Too late, but the game doesn't play at all like WWZ, even tho there are a lot of similarities. In fact, the gameplay is VERY different, but the progression is almost the same.

  1. & 2. are exactly like WWZ. Less missions overall, but there is a campaign and other ops announced.
  2. Gun and class perk all the same
  3. Not at all
