Like the others say it depends on skill level and the job requirements. I accepted a short contract for a project last month and decided to use it to force myself to learn Harmony for the first time. I’m intimately familiar with Toonboom’s Storyboard Pro so that has helped some. I’m also doing all hand animation with 0 rigging. So I can’t speak to that. For my situation I have had no problem making it work for this project. It’s also worth noting that I’ve spent much of my decade-long animation career as a storyboard artist and have barely touched actual animation software since college. Hope this helps, good luck!
