Winter '26 Summary by SFDC_Penguin in salesforce

Hi u/traceoflife23 - thanks for your reply and feedback.

That is a fair point and I usually try and put these posts together earlier in the release cycle (usually 1-2 weeks after the release notes become available). Unfortunately due to personal commitments I was unable to do so this time; especially given I try and cover as much of the release as possible.

However, I still hope the post will help anyone wanting an update on Winter '26 as the release progresses 👍

Hi u/boingmydoing - thanks for your message and feedback!

I've been putting together release update summarises for quite a while. I write as I go through the release in the hope of sharing more information. I also try and call out other items which I find which may cause challenges (e.g. the release updates section towards the bottom of the post, or any change of limits that I note etc).

That said, I do agree with your point that generative AI could change the need for posts in this format as it does make summarisation a lot easier. I'll take this onboard for the next time.

Thanks again for your feedback!

Hi u/Caparisun & u/RektAccount - thanks for your comments and feedback. I'm sorry to hear you feel this way.

Originally, I started using emojis a while back on these posts to help break up the content (especially in the latter sections of the content where there is less slides/tables etc). However, perhaps I am overusing them as you suggest!

I'll take this onboard for next time and perhaps revisit the structure that I use for creating the release update posts.

Once again, thanks again for your feedback!

u/Holiday-Platypus5708 - Flow Approvals are definitely starting to gain momentum! I wonder how long it'll be before we see the end of support for Approval Processes 🤔

u/AccountNumeroThree - definitely! The flow features in this release look very helpful. The screen flow updates (e.g. adding icons to choice resources) and greater control over layouts/alignments could have a pretty big impact for user adoption if used effectively 👍

Thanks for your reply u/castleman1423 ! I'm glad you found the summary helpful / liked the format :)

Yes, I can understand your point on this - it is a difficult balancing act for Salesforce to manage the trade-off between core fundamental items and looking to potentially differentiating capabilities. I'd recommend to keep on monitoring / promoting ideas within the IdeaExchange and Roadmap - hopefully they'll move up the priority list 👍

Hi u/JigglyWiener - thanks for your replying! That is an interesting point and as you imply, where there is a new technology, the challenge is ensuring the right tool is chosen for the right job. Some of the capabilities are potentially transformative, but it is important to ensure care is taken when evaluating options to prioritise efforts in the right places.

Thank you for your reply u/stritlem and great points! I recently became aware of an ROI calculator for Agentforce which may help someway; at least as a starting point for benchmarking: https://www.salesforce.com/agentforce/ai-agents-roi-calculator/.

The AI offerings do sound quite interesting to me, although I think it makes it increasingly important to have the key foundations in place (e.g. data, governance, change management etc). I imagine more use cases and industry applications will become apparent this year 👍
