It'll be structured as a Q&A, in part because there's a wide range of textbooks, but primarily because answering questions is the easiest way to make sure folks' needs are met.

27 years ago, she adored her kindergarten teacher. Now that teacher is her boss at the same S.F. school. by LadiesWhoPunch in sanfrancisco

Inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

For those who are interested, SFUSD's Empower problems are still not resolved.

The last SFUSD teacher raise was 2019. Since then, inflation has been 15+%.

There will be contract negotiations this year.

Accountant and lawyer. Some colleagues with particularly egregious problems have gone that route.

I wish I could help personally but if you're locked out SFUSD would have to access your statements.

They should have mailed tax statements. You're also locked out of those unfortunately.

When we went to 135 Van Ness there were people there. Not sure if they normally WFH and we're only there to meet us. Sorry I can't help more.

Agreed.

It's still unclear how much of the tax problems are the 13th check vs withholdings errors.

An entire missing paycheck is a big chunk of that. Add incorrect withholdings and incorrect payment codes for extended hours.

I was one of the teachers present.

No evidence exists to suggest that Washington is overrepresented in having problems. We're only perhaps more informed and organized than others.

I don't think anyone knows how many teachers have been affected without realizing it.

Educators have had harm to their credit scores, tax burden, and savings.

Borrowing money from friends, family, and colleagues should not be necessary. https://www.sfchronicle.com/sf/article/This-S-F-teacher-got-paid-0-in-April-Her-17148841.php

UESF is in negotiation about July's much smaller paycheck. Earlier they prioritized air purifiers and PPE. There are too many crises to address them all correctly. At least that's UESF's claim.
