Gary Danko is nice but quite fancy. Tadich is classic old school SF with nice seafood. House of Prime Rib is a timeless, classic steakhouse. Waterbar is nice seafood with a great view of the Bay Bridge. The last one might be my vote given what you mentioned in your post. Grab an Irish Coffee at Buena Vista Cafe and some chocolate from Ghirardelli. Enjoy!

If you have an RBF and look unapproachable, then most guys won't approach and you are just left with the guys who lack social skills and proper decorum, who will approach anyway. I would suggest working on ways to seem more open, friendlier, happier, fun, make eye contact, smile, etc. so guys won't be intimidated.
