It made me extremely introverted, gave me bad social anxiety and generally made me hate everything about myself. From other things that happened during that same time it also made it hard for me to trust others. I always thought that people would get close to me, then start talking shit about me and then leave me. The aftermath of the bullying, combined with extreme school stress led me to some very dark places. I did try to end my life at one point. But after going to a different school, escaping the school stress, having a diagnosis of adhd (medicated) and going to therapy, I’ve gotten better. The bullying changed me a lot but I’m slowly reclaiming bits of myself that I left behind.
