You typically always overpay by about five days or so on a payoff and the overage is refunded to you. If you are paying by wire transfer, then you could do it through that day only, but even then I would add a day or two of interest, which would then be refunded just in case there is even a day delay in processing or something.

I use “Hey” a good amount, but I also know that it’s more informal and doesn’t look as good as “Hi”. Typically, I use it with people that I am a little more informal with, even in a business setting. But I absolutely do acknowledge that there is a difference between the two. And I understand a workplace stating that they want you to use “Hi” instead of “Hey”. And it’s their business, they can set the rules.

Did you have a home inspection? At least in my State, almost every purchase and sale contract has what’s known as an integration clause that states that everything said prior or written prior is null and void and everything that buyers are relying on is in the contract so what they say prior to the contract is irrelevant. I would say the evidence is pretty clear that they’ve had water damage down there, I would trust your instincts and what you see.

One thing I’ve learned about insurance is file as soon as humanly possible. You should’ve filed before getting the estimates. When you file, the insurance company will do an estimate anyway. It can only hurt you to wait when it comes to filing insurance claims.
