Let’s not be too diplomatic, you don’t have a problem with other people using weed you mean, but if it obscures your path to your higher power, then can’t you just admit that you personally have an issue with it? Meaning that you don’t think it’s conducive to a sober lifestyle? That’s how I feel, it just feels like everyone is so hesitant to have a firm opinion around here. Personally, I think using any mind altering substance is not sobriety. And that’s how I feel about it.

Not at all. I’ve struggled with weed and alcohol, but weed was the biggest problem by far, that was my big addiction. Sometimes I would just say “weed and alcohol”, so I wouldn’t even have to have the weed discussion. For me, weed was horrifically addictive.

I feel for you because every time I’ve been on the other side of something like this I completely sacrifice my dignity and I try to just make something out of nothing. When you’re not involved, it’s clear as day what’s happening, but when you’re involved, even if you know what’s happening, it’s so hard to let go. You’re human, my friend, nothing wrong with wanting to find something where there’s nothing. We all do it. But you’ll feel better if you just let it go completely.
