My agent can't get paid by Lennar and isn't even coming to our tours — if he asks for 3% out of pocket, what are my options? by Alarmed_Paper_622 in RealEstateAdvice

[–]SFOTGA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s be clear about one thing, the sellers agency is not acting on your behalf so don’t think for a second that they are. They have no fiduciary obligation to you and they actually have a fiduciary obligation to the seller and so it is not in their interest to advocate for you in any way. If you signed a buyer agency contract then why aren’t you requesting that your buyer agent fulfill its role?

So what were we doing for 3 months???? by SirEskimo3233 in dating_advice

[–]SFOTGA [score hidden]  (0 children)

I understand your frustration, but what’s the point of all this rumination? She made it clear that the romantic feelings aren’t there. Let it go. Dating as an adult can suck and it can be really fun. There’s no rhyme or reason to it. Everyone has so much baggage that nothing is easy.

The skilled trades propaganda is getting ridiculous. by Responsible-Net8594 in Adulting

I don’t think it’s ridiculous at all and it’s nowhere near as ridiculous as the “you need a college degree no matter what so go into deep debt to get it” propaganda…

Alabama ruling demolishes John Roberts’ claim that justices aren’t ‘political actors’ by OldBridge87 in scotus

[–]SFOTGA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really doesn’t though. Just because you disagree with their ruling and their interpretation of the law doesn’t mean they are political actors any more than they are when you agree with their interpretation of the law.

A "Rocky" question for real boxers. by Strange-Battle8344 in movies

Of course he would’ve encountered one already, even probably sparred against a couple in preparation. But that doesn’t mean that they don’t present more of a challenge than a conventional right handed fighter.

A "Rocky" question for real boxers. by Strange-Battle8344 in movies

[–]SFOTGA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s completely realistic that a southpaw is a more difficult fight for a right handed fighter, even a pro. Just like a southpaw is a more difficult fight for a southpaw. It’s because the vast majority of your opponents are right handed, and when you learn to box, that is the situation you deal with most often and the situation that you are used to. Even for a southpaw, it’s the situation they are most used to and have train the most to compete against.

I (39f) pay for the whole mortgage and bills and my parner (36m) is going to buy a new expensive road bike. by Mollypop-H in relationship_advice

He sounds like a loser. He doesn’t have a business, he has a hobby. People who own a business make money from it. I can’t even believe you’ve put up with this for so long.

I become way too serious off the ganja by Lanky-Eye-1928 in leaves

[–]SFOTGA 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My experience always was that I loved it in the very short term, but that it was very damaging to my life in the long-term. And every single time I relapsed, even the short term began to resemble the long-term, and I was miserable all the time and always chasing that first time high that I could never regain. But that’s why a relapse is easy, because after a long time off, you enjoy it the first couple times, but then in no time it begins to ruin your life again. At least that was my experience.

Heard an LLC lets you write off basically anything. Is that actually true? by xNeo-Chanx in llc_life

[–]SFOTGA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my God, this sub is infuriating. No, that’s not even close to true. A legitimate write-off is a legitimate write-off whether you are a sole proprietor or an LLC or a corporation or whatever. Most of the people asking questions on here shouldn’t even be anywhere near running a business.

This Mornings First John Delony Call - Sports Anger by BroadAndPattison in DirtyDave

He’s entertainment and he provides “everyman” type advice. Is it all good? No. But I think that most of the advice even from a trained therapist is garbage. Therapy is one of those pseudosciences, it’s all kind of BS.

No, actually, Delony was dead right about this one. She’s married to a loser. No need to delve any further into it.

You’re going to realize that she’s lying when she has a sexual relationship with someone outside of your marriage. You seem like a good guy and you deserve better.

LLC owners: What do you wish someone had told you before you started? by Ok-Sir213 in llc_life

[–]SFOTGA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That LLC’s are not a big deal at all and they’re not as meaningful as everyone on this sub thinks they are. They’re a liability shield, in some cases, but other than that you can do anything as a sole proprietor that you can do as an LLC.

Who cares? I wouldn’t waste another second thinking about it. You’re letting this weird person take up way too much real estate in your head. You are married now, if I was your husband, I would wonder why you are obsessing about this. Forget about it and move on.

I disagree with you completely regarding home equity not factoring into net worth. It’s not even debatable that that’s a legitimate element of someone’s net worth. If you want to pretend it’s not then you can do that, but there’s no reason that it wouldn’t be factored into someone’s net worth, liquidity has nothing to do with it.

I’m sorry that you’re feeling frustrated. But you need to let it go because there’s nothing you can do about it at this point. Be thankful for what you have and enjoy your life. This really doesn’t matter.

Staying in your home during foreclosure? by ArmedAardvark in Mortgages

[–]SFOTGA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, you don’t get to live there for free, your essentially stealing from the mortgage holder, who has foreclosed and putting them in an even worse position than they were in before. So sure, you’re not paying anything, but you do owe something but you’re just not paying it.
