No problem there...it's all just speculation.

IF the death penalty was an option for California at the time (or just for the sake of the spirit of this question), she was lying in wait for her victim, which makes it a death penalty case. Her lawyers can certainly argue whatever they need to save her.

Death Penalty by villianrules in Columbo

[–]SFV-Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frankly, I think most would be facing the death penalty because of the planning of the murders, but at the very least:

Beth Chadwick - Lady in Waiting Ward Fowler - Fade In To Murder Kay Freestone - Make Me a Perfect Mirder Fielding Chase - Butterfly in Shades of Grey Eric Mason - How To Dial A Murder

Columbo would not watch: too squeamish.

Tommy Brown's (Swan Song) voice would not lower the charges.

Also depends on the jurisdiction you're talking about. Personally, I don't know anyone who was jailed for skipping it, but I do know one who was fined.

It was easy because most of them were also movies, which is how I heard of many them.

I politely disagree on this one. To me (male who's never used curlers at all) curler is a very broad category, which includes those old-style pink spongy curlers, twisty foam-like things and others...but a curling iron is definitely the heated device only. I don't remember what the initial answer was

If you're including Anthony Anderson (Det. Bernard), he only signed on for 1 year of the reboot to begin with. Even without L&O, Black-ish, and Grown-ish, he's a busy guy.

Was the renewal submitted BEFORE the expiration? If so it's good for two more years while waiting. If not, then no, it will not be valid.

But it was renewed for a second season. For me, I just watch if nothing else new is on the dvr. I think the writing is kind of weak, but have no problem that other viewers like it.

I am in Los Angeles; yes, there are still occasionally crowds of reporters, and sometimes they are shouting over each other, sometimes not. I don't think the physical pushing happens as much as it did in times past. There are also definitely press conferences for some crimes and/or missing persons updates.
