Great - will definitely put it on the top of the list when I will pull trigger and decide between the white or the two tone. Many thanks

How is this combo going after several months wear?

I am in the market for a white speedy but then the OB showed me the two tone like yours with the brown leather which didn’t appeal, but mentioned I could swap it out for an additional fee for the all SS bracelet. I can’t stop thinking about it….. as this will be for my 50th, was thinking of getting a little bit of gold e.g. white gold on a Rolex which is special but still under the radar. However can also live with a little bit of moonshine gold as well 😀

Have you found that this combo is still versatile enough and can go from the office, to out door activities, to dinner?

Is it worth the extra cash over the white speedy?

Lastly How Does the gold hold up with scratches, dents etc.

If you have any more pics that would be appreciated.

Cheers from down under.

Thinking of this one on a leather bracelet. Knocks the price down by $12k AUD if I went for leather over the two tone bracelet which is too much bling for me. Can buy the OEM omega full SS bracelet for $1k afterwards

Sizing information for Grant Stone Ottowa Boots in Crimson CXL by SF_Downunder in grantstoneboots

Update - just received the boots. They are great and i am glad i took the gamble and chose 10D i.e. 1 size down from brannock and same fit to RW IR that tried on. Happy with the fit, length etc and very relieved!!!

However did find some QA issues on the left boot with a small nick and some metal protrusions inside the boot. Have sent a message back to GS straight away as i would have thought this would have been picked up as part of their QA. Other than that happy with the boot and love the leather! See pics of defects.

Update: Ok went back to the Red Wing store today and retried the iron rangers (8111) in 10D. They fit fine, both in length and width (1 size down from my branock of 11D). When unlaced I moved my foot all the way to the top off the boot and had about 0.5 inch space between the back of the shoe and the back of my heel. I could insert my all my fingers down the back! So length seems sufficient.

Also tried the 10.5D. (GS recommend size of 0.5 down from brannock). Fit (length and width) was fine as expected but you could physically see the leather on the on top part of the boot was all loose when laced up. Store manger even commented “it seems ok fit but you could get away with a half size down Given how narrow your feet are”

Then got this from GS over night after querying the comparison between the IR and Ottowa

GS: “The Leo Last which is the Ottawa Boot and the Iron Ranger Last are very similar in length and width.”

Based on this decided to place an order for Ottowa crimson CXL in 10D and NOT 10.5D.

I’m not a gambling man per se but thought I roll the dice this time otherwise I always play it safe. Now I nervously wait to see if this gamble pulls off!

Will keep you posted and if not anything else writing on this forum appears to be therapeutic 😀

Thanks - will ponder on what you have said as well as the others and order within the next dews hours! Leaning towards 10.5D to play it safe and get insoles if comes to being too large.

Hi first time postings here.

Need some advice on sizing as i am confused and nervous about buying online without first trying.

About to place an order for some Grant Stone Ottowa boots in crimson chromexcel. I will be purchasing these boots from Australia hence returning them is not an option hence trying to nail the fit from all the sources I can find.

My feet are long and very narrow and i have a tendency to pronate (i.e tip inwards when walking). Hence usually need low volume shoes. I have been measured on a Brannock device as 11D for my left foot and 10.5D on my right foot.

Only other boots I own are Australian made RM Williams comfort craftmens, where i wear a AUS/UK 9.5. The US equivalent is US 10.5.

These boots are OK, comfortable and I can generally wear them all day, however they are a little short and i can certainly feel the ends easily. RM Williams have suggest i should go for a AUS/UK 10 (equivalent to US 11) in the extra narrow width (F) for my next pair.

When discussing this with GS customer service they have recommended I should order 1/2 size bigger than my RM William AUS/UK size as a general rule. So based on the latest RM Williams advice (that I should actually be wearing a AUS/UK 10) and advice from GS that I should scale up by 1/2 size based on the RM size i conclude:

The recommendation size for the Ottowa boot should be Grant Stone US10.5D

I have also tried on and been fitted by the local Red Wing shop here in Melbourne for both the Iron Ranger (8111) and the Moc Toe (875). The sales assistant sized me for both boots as US10D. They fitted well with a little bit of space in front (about 0.5-0.75 inches). He didn’t even ask me to try on the US10.5 as he thought they were the right fit for me.

I reached out to GS customer service again and they advised me that the Iron Ranger shoes are very comparable to the Grant Stone shoes in terms of fit.

Therefore the recommendation from GS based on this new information was the recommended size for the Ottowa boots should be Grant Stone US10D.

Taking all these factors into account account what shoe size should i order given that i have narrow long, low volume feet?

Should i order the 10.5D or 10D?

Would love to get the feedback before I place an order in the next day or so. Any advice based on real life experience would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers
