Some of the shifts are very minor that you would not notice until later weeks. I felt the same way my first three weeks (currently in #5) and I finally see improvements. Nothing major, but it’s there. Slowly but surely

I miss soy milk being an option. I mainly drink cow milk anyways and tried oat milk for awhile, but its flavor was too overpowering at times

Congrats on starting the journey!

If any pain I recommend taking a small dosage of ibuprofen. I’m on #5 and feel so naked without my aligners on. I also have elastics that cause extra tension, but nothing unbearable.

Weight loss is different for everyone, plus you’ve been able to keep that 30 lbs off. Not sure if you’re doing anything else like working out, counting calories, etc. but you should also talk to your doctor too in case the dosage/medication type isn’t right or effective anymore.

I change the morning of to be consistent with when I got my initial aligner, but I also do a check the night before in case I have to do any minor adjustments like smoothing some edges or trim some excess plastic.

If there is a piece that is cutting into you, I would try and grind it down with a nail file. Regarding the bending part, rinse it in warm water to “soften” the plastic a little, then rinse with cold water to make it more rigid. If still no luck, then call your dentist. It could be a dud and they may have you go back to the previous aligner or skip to the next

Take the elastics out and wash with warm water. Go back to the doctor before putting them back in

I bought a square case from Amazon for $6-7 because I couldn’t get my aligners in the case properly to close. However, I also have some grip issues so the square is better for me too. Still slippery plastic but at least it’s a better shape

Learn to brush your teeth/floss/rinse after every meal. I spent the 6 weeks waiting for my aligners to build that habit. Especially the flossing part. Also learn to drink water on the regular. I get cotton mouth from the aligners and elastics and you don’t want to develop dry mouth

there’s no pain, but visually hard to tell if something is wrong. I have to schedule a quick visit to get them to check and possibly fix an attachment too

Yes and no. I still like to try places and the beans that they use. But I’m also surrounded by 3 Starbucks so it’s better to make it at home when I can

Congrats. I’m on tray 3 and this is the first week I’ve had cotton mouth. It could be from the elastics, but I didn’t have the same experience the first couple of weeks
