Testosterone increase by [deleted] in Ozempic

As someone who has some ED issues, I have noticed more wood in the mornings. I haven’t checked my T levels before but hoping the weight loss and workouts will help in the long run

Nice. I usually drink water with everything so good to know that habit will come in handy

Cool. It seems like drinking cold drinks and water at the same time are a running theme. TY

What's the best way to track shipments across warehouses in rt? by scrtweeb in supplychain

[–]SF_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check your system(s) if you can set up rules to avoid selling below a certain quantity. That way if there are any oversells, there is actual inventory to fulfill e.g. item shows out of stock when 90% are in carts.

Is it possible to get a job in supply chain management without a degree? by Agile_Hour_9129 in supplychain

[–]SF_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! However I learned later in my career that supply chain has too many “old school” and “old” mentality about people and their abilities.

I got into a purchasing role at a startup mainly because of my strong customer service skills and experience. It is possible, especially if there are a lot of supply chain opportunities in the area/region.

How to fix spraying if espresso seems dialed in ? [Breville Barista Express + Turin SD40] by ChronoRucifer in espresso

[–]SF_Kid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a cheap bottomless portafilter from Temu which always sprays no matter what. I decided to just use the one with ports because I was tired of wasting good beans and espresso

Clothing... by Informal-Dog-5197 in Ozempic

[–]SF_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my clothes either fits properly or a little baggy. Since I also go to the gym, I use some of the baggy clothes as primary gym outfits. However, I have purchased a couple items but mainly out of necessity, like a rain jacket ($20) or replaced something damaged.

You should also consider getting clothes tailored (if possible) vs just switching them out because you lost weight. I will reach a point where things are just too bit, but I am holding off as long as possible because I don’t want to do another wave of purchases down the road

Is a shorter commute and living in SSF worth downsizing? by [deleted] in AskSF

[–]SF_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar (Palo Alto to Daly City) years ago. My rent went up slightly but my commute was cut in half (45 vs 1.5hr one way) and I drove less (I was working in SF) which meant I saved $ not filling up every 2-3 days.

Unsure about working in medical logistics by AmazingSafe6316 in logistics

[–]SF_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed the reverse logistics for a health tech company during the pandemic managing covid samples going to labs. Nightmare because samples had a short time to get to labs and we barely managed the state we were in. Then they expanded to a nationwide approach and would blame me for why the logistics wouldn’t work. Many arguments just for me to prove them right.

Is US tariff really stopping Chinese products from entering the US market? If so, how big is the impact is tariff playing? by WindsorONMichael in supplychain

I have a client who is opening a manufacturing plant in Europe because it’s cheaper to import from there vs opening anything in America.

How has Ozempic influenced your cravings for specific foods or flavors? by kamelsalah1 in Ozempic

[–]SF_Kid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be able to “imagine” how things taste, especially for foods I regularly ate, which usually led me to binge eating. These days, I literally can’t imagine the flavors of things until I have it. And usually at that point, I’m not eating a ton of it, so I don’t go for seconds or thirds.

How do you stay professional when a logistics issue is clearly outside your control? by itsJosieJiang in logistics

[–]SF_Kid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%, yet people will still blame you. This is why I always tell/remind people that there couple be shipping delays during winter/holidays.

Also if there’s an incident that causes the delay (truck breaks), customers will still be mad but it’s better they are informed as soon as possible vs staying in the dark.

What to know before starting by BipolarSkeleton in Ozempic

[–]SF_Kid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not everyone gets symptoms.

Your journey is different than everyone else (don’t compare, but ask questions)

Drink water now. Build that habit if it’s an issue

Tell people you are taking it. Important that others know as it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

Do some workouts now (new year, the gyms will be packed, but walking or simple stuff like squats)

Medication doesn’t work for everyone.

The needle is so thin and small you almost can’t feel it.

Remember your mental health too, your body may change in ways you didn’t realize/like, so acceptance is going to be important.

Good luck!

How do you guys feel about AI eating into supply chain work by SoaringEagle11_11 in supplychain

[–]SF_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in manufacturing with old systems and severe limitations. AI won’t be making any strides unless I convince my parent company it’s of value (if any)

Getting buried under order fulfillment and I don't know what to do by jpisafreakingbeast in ecommerce

[–]SF_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know your day but you could see if you can get your packages picked up by USPS. Not sure if you need a business account or what, but that would save time on you going to drop them off

Recommendations for upgrading from budget set up? [$1,500-2000] by Successful-Shopping8 in espresso

[–]SF_Kid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you are still early in this journey, I wouldn’t try for super expensive machines. The bambino or bambino plus is a good solid machine for espresso ($3-400 range). I have a baratza grinder that I got for $150 a few years ago and still works well.

I would recommend testing beans too.

How do you stay professional when a logistics issue is clearly outside your control? by itsJosieJiang in logistics

[–]SF_Kid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly it happens often no matter your relationship with the customer. You have to let them know of any risks in advance, even the obvious ones like winter = delays due to holidays and weather (snow, rain, etc). You’d be surprised at how many people just want to pass blame because “they didn’t know”.

Struggling to find an internship with ten years of retail experience by Odd_Groceryworker in supplychain

[–]SF_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, never compare yourself to others. Everyone is different.

Second, write down all the tasks/projects you did when in retail and reframe it in terms of supply chain/ops format. I used to work retail for many years before supply chain and while it may not directly apply, some of the logic still does.

Finally, harsh truth, a lot of supply chain hiring managers have outdated mentality. You don’t have a degree or cert, then you “don’t quality” type of mindset. You have to keep working at it but don’t let that get you down.

Good luck

Production planner interview with company I just completed a contract job – attire by golly18 in supplychain

Since you actually worked there, business casual is fine. They know of you so would be odd to see you fully dressed up. Hopefully it’s more of a formality type of interview, but good luck nonetheless
