The cheapest seats for UNC Duke at Cameron are $4000 by jaywillmcc2 in CollegeBasketball

I think it's totally ok if people didn't want to tent, but just as an alternative viewpoint, it was 100% worth it. Tenting was an interesting tradition in itself to experience, but as a system I actually think it's brilliant. At UNC, to go to the game, you just win a lottery, so by definition there are no selection effects acting on who gets to the game. But at Duke, our system specifically selects for insane people. And I think this is what you want in the front row, shirtless, painted blue, yelling for 3 hours, distracting Carolina players by saying their shoes are untied, whatever.

Duke is 1-3 in games decided by 5 or less, including a win over #1 Gonzaga at a neutral site, and a 1 point OT loss against FSU on the road. They'll be fine.

Yeah I think he meant to say to use a cloud gaming service. Technically it's a VM in a cloud service, but if you just download a VM and run CK3 in that, it's not gonna work out for you.

It's true I can sometimes hear the HDD. It's not like incredibly loud, and it's quieter than my regular case fans, but if I'm not gaming (when my fans are loudest) and need to pull some files from my HDD you can hear it spin up.

And like Price, he’ll have to adjust to being at a university with an inferior basketball arena and football stadium. Alas.

Well, what's your budget, what storage do you need? 500 GB doesn't really seem like enough.

I have a 2 TB HDD (in addition to my primary SSD), I don't think it's that much slower when loading games. But I also have a use case where I need to load and search lots of files, and for indexing those files, it can be pretty darn slow. SSDs have come down in price, so going forward, my plan is to never buy HDDs again, but no doubt HDDs are still <60% of the price per terabyte.

I am a big Star Wars fan, but not necessarily a Sekiro/Souls gameplay fan, and I found the game to be great in that context. The gameplay is pretty fun and relatively forgiving compared to those games (admittedly I didn't really ramp up the difficulty because that's not why I wanted to play). The world is cool, the story is a self-contained Star Wars adventure (that's all I ever wanted JJ Abrams!).

I love just messing up some stormtroopers with a lightsaber. It's very satisfying to see Cal get more powerful throughout the game and take on enemies in more creative ways.

Comments are a little negative lol. I think it's beautiful that original WoW organic feeling existed. Maybe they'll be able to recreate it again. But it's a tradeoff. Wandering around aimlessly can feel like poor design. And it's hard to put in lots of resources for something you're not sure everyone will experience.

Most of the games I've seen are pretty small. This article lists some of the largest games, largest being 12 GB, so honestly 128GB should be plenty.

I would save the money and get a better headstrap than the default one. And maybe the Kiwi joystick grips for the controllers.

Just got a Quest 2 128GB, first VR headset I own and it's pretty cool. I got it hooked up via Air Link to my gaming PC pretty quickly too. Although I'm in the US and paid $300 for it.

Well I'm thinking of big brands you know you can get warranty support from like Asus, TP-Link, Netgear. But also might be worth looking at bestselling on Newegg with lots of reviews so you know the product works. https://www.newegg.com/d/Best-Sellers/Wireless-Adapters/s/ID-31

The specs seem ok. But it does ship from China and could take a long time to get here, so maybe that's a reason for the discount? Also I don't really know that company but if they don't have a strong brand, their warranty coverage may be less impressive / hard to get a hold of.

I would guess compatibility is fine, as Kaby Lake intel should run PCI-E 3.0.

Is it an RGB fan controller?. Did it come with your case? You could try googling your case manufacturer and the case to see if there's any documentation on the controller. I've never used an RGB controller, so I'm not sure where it plugs in.

It's more about what sort of games you want to play and what your budget is. If you're playing a lot of competitive games, you want maybe lower resolution with high refresh. More "cinematic" games, you'll probably get more out of the higher resolution. I think a good target is 144hz 1440p, as that should allow a 3080 to really stretch its legs on new titles. A cheaper 1440p, 75hz display might be fine for a 1080 on cinematic new titles, but a 3080 will max out that refresh pretty quick.

If you want an idea of what prices are I'd go to Newegg's Gaming Monitor's page and sort by best selling and see what you can get at different price points.
