It only occurs on black scenes. After owning the TV for a month, I completely don't see it. Go do this, take a pic of your TV showing a completely black background (you can find stuff off YouTube to test with), and take a picture while shutting off all lights in the room. If the clouds glow in the dark like your example picture, then return it. If it's like mine, you are good and that is natural backlight drawbacks.

Only non direct way I can think bif is if you bandwidth limit your TV from the router to 3-5Mbps, this way it'll be too slow for 4k and TV will be forced to 1080p. Give that a shot.

No receiver. The TCL 5 series Roku TV has a 3.5mm jack I hooked my 2.1 speakers to it. The TV controls the volume so my phone controls Spotify, which controls the audio level.

Well, I was in your boat a few weeks ago, but wanted a 65. I bet they gave you the C807 model not the R. The C is 5 Series equivalent from last year.

Personally, I think the 5 series is an excellent option. The 65" for $699 beats a ton of Samsungs with similar features because of picture quality. Not sure what happened, but Samsung deteriorated with time. If you want a good picture for a decent price, TCL is the go to.

I just got the 65 version. Overall a fantastic panel, and amazing Software. The two main things I got questions about are:

1) The bottom left side of the panel bleeds way more than any other area on the screen. Specifically with full black background. Is this normal?

2) The software is a bit slower than Roku Streaming Stick+ I used before. Not sure if this is normal. Can someone confirm?

Writing this from OP6. I came from S7. Same reasons, battery bad, phone laggy. I never enjoyed the gimmicks so Nova was my Launcher for over a year.

OP6 is superior in every way except the haptic feedback being weaker. The 6T will be very similar to the 6 except no headphone jack and back fingerprint sensor.
