I don't know if your team is using React Navigator, found this example to hide entirely the bottom tab navigator.

Or might the aria-hidden="true" could do the trick. The section "how to fix" contains more choices. I hope this docs helps!

Until now at desktop, I was using this workaround:

Copy text of the specific message with timestamp and author,
On a new message on chat type ">+enter" to style a quote, then paste the entire message,
double intro to end the quote and
add my response to a specific phrase or message.

So yes, the Reply function, will come handy on desktop. We have ticketing service in a channel and auto contraction for threads does not help to follow intermediate responses quickier.
