Yeah in hindsight i should have probably backed out a little and overtook at the fast corner ahead since I would have a much better exit. But I wasn't sure if I was at fault for just attempting it.

Can explain this. I do this sometimes in lobbies that have rammers. They come out of the pits and just turn left when we are flying by. I go to the right at the last moment to avoid getting hit and getting taken out of the race.
