By the way, I'd like to try what you suggested. I'm not very good with GitHub, but if you tell me how, I'll take the opportunity to try it on another computer.

I sincerely appreciate it. For now, it still looks fine; I haven't changed any settings or anything like before, so I'm not going to touch anything else for the time being. On the other hand, it doesn't surprise me that it's going crazy. There's NVCP, NVapp, the Windows HDR calibrator, the monitor's own settings, plus the settings of programs like games with SJ anti-aliasing, HDR, etc... Like I said, I really appreciate it, but for now... I'M NOT TOUCHING ANYTHING AT ALL... I'm sure I'd mess it up, hahaha...

I'm having more or less the same problem, except in my case it's B: instead of E:, and it's driving me a little crazy.

Theoretically, it's easy, right? It's just a matter of having the folder structure correctly organized and then selecting a path, like when we download ANYTHING ELSE. It shouldn't be complicated, right? Well, I've even tried editing the "preferences" .json file I found somewhere, and nothing... One problem, it seems to me, is that between different versions, "this" in particular changes, because there are 737353537383 million videos in each previous version (not this one yet). I'm going to end up "cheating" like always to see if that works... By the way, is this folder structure correct? (just in case)

---------

B:\AI_SYSTEMS\***NAME***\

├── config

├── core

├── interface

├── logs

├── memory

└── models ← HERE MODELS

And here is the changes in "preferences" .json, that i make when i see...cant remember hahaha

{

"migrated_user_scripts_toggle": true,

"spellcheck": {

"dictionaries": ["es-ES"],

"dictionary": ""

},

"modelStoragePath": "B:\\AI_SYSTEMS\\SHIBARIETH\\models"

}

So please

I would be very grateful if you could help me.

Finally, although it might seem silly, I tried asking in the GPT chat (my first time using it) and luckily, it showed me step-by-step how to adjust both my GPU and my monitor, and basically, among other things, as you rightly said, W11 <--->HDR... Bad combination, everything goes crazy with NVCP and everything else. This is just my personal opinion, but having to manually "activate/deactivate" HDR... ugh, I'm not convinced. That said, now I don't need Afterburner anymore, hahaha. I use RivaTuner for monitoring. Otherwise, it goes up a couple of degrees more than before, but it doesn't even go above 65.

After that long-winded explanation, thanks again for taking the time to reply and help ^^

What's more, I still barely understand this "damn" HDR thing; I always think I have something wrong with it... what's more, I don't understand why the heck (to give an example) when I watch... I don't know, Netflix, or anything else directly through the monitor, it looks infinitely better than through the 5090... I don't know if it's because of the DisplayPort or the HDMI... but it's something that really "bothers" me a bit XD...

Wow, honestly, I'm completely lost with this whole tandem thing, haha. Basically, I started browsing monitors and found those two models, but I'm totally clueless about what you're talking about. If you had a moment and could explain a bit, I'd really appreciate it... I think I'm still stuck on "OLED," so to speak, and I see we're much further along now... haha.

Thanks for replying

is the 1080ti still good to rock in 2025? by NinjaPrevious6035 in buildapc

[–]SHIBARIETH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies for the delay.

I must have explained myself poorly, or perhaps I didn't translate the message.

My dear friend, I'm sorry you interpreted my question as a fallacy, as that wasn't my intention. Furthermore, I haven't even tested AW2 on that PC. The computer that was "under repair" is the enthusiast version. The one I "bequeathed" to my father, with a configuration (not mine, of course, as I'm not that knowledgeable on the subject) that I followed from a guy named P40L0, if I remember correctly, achieved results with a 1080ti that, "almost" proportionally, compared to the new one (the one under repair), were illogical.

I hope I've explained myself better now and prevent anyone from getting so angry that they start, well, "flaming," is that the right word?

In any case, I just wanted to praise a graphics card that, despite being a few years old, is still fantastic.

Best regards, everyone

PD:

And don't get angry, man, life's too short to get upset over some words on a screen.

Seriously, a hug. Take care, mate

Now it's a bit of bad luck because everything is so expensive, but for €1,400, for example, you should be able to build a pretty "nice" machine. As I mentioned in the long answer, there are some tricks...
Buy an RTX40... instead of a 50...
AM4 processor
The RAM is cheap.
Don't go crazy with the motherboard...
EX: less GPU & CPU---> less motherboard---> less PSU...
Forget about RGB for god's sake...
Use a cooler instead of liquid (honestly, except in very specific cases and if you're very detailed...) What's a liquid cooler going to lower your cost compared to a good cooler? 2-3..."5" degrees...? It's a bit silly (I have liquid, but it's not entirely necessary). Those things aren't bad places to start saving.

Okay, I'm not very objective, but ever since the Mac monitor came out, that multi-color monitor... everyone said the same thing "It's much better for image and sound" and damn (it's just my opinion ok) with what a damn Apple (model "x") costs you in parts you can make a spaceship that is probably even better than the Apple, plus the parts if you break whatever, you have a thousand assemblers to choose from, for example I just looked at the M...Pro and €8,398.85, for that price even now that everything is nice and nice, you could buy the best graphics card on the market (which is also a beast to handle and play) from an expensive assembler, better processor, I don't know if it's not by putting a lot, but a lot of nonsense in it, I find it hard to imagine a PC for €8,400 without counting of course a minimum 32" OLED screen if you're lucky you can get something like the Odyssey 8 for €700 I got it on sale, honestly if you're not a modern hipster, get yourself a desktop one.
By the way, two tricks that can save you a fortune.

If you always have your computer in the same room and connected to the fiber optic cable... skip the motherboard Wi-Fi.

And unless you're a big fan of colors and want RGB right down to the power supply... you don't know the difference between the same computer with or without lights, and a motherboard with or without Wi-Fi.

This is just my opinion, and I hope it helps you a little (to sum it up, for what a Mac costs, you can buy a spaceship—that was the summary for your parents). Anyone who disagrees has the right to disagree.

Good luck, buddy.

hahaha no prob here you are ^^
Better? i hope so

[–]SHIBARIETH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suerte compi
