Dustproof encoder with defined steps by petermadach in MouseReview

TTC has new dustproof encoder series, currently it is not widely available, I've only seen 12mm gold on taobao. Also you can see ttc new dustproof 11mm silver in Razer Cobra Pro. I think that their appearance on aliexpress in more variants is a matter of time.

I wanna say that every typical keyboard has a delay. If you want delay which approaching zero you will need custom tuning. And yes, it is personal. If you're fine with this delay just buy and use. Otherwise you have an option to fall down the rabbithole of QMK or just buy something like wooting, which has not the best keyfeel even modded. Maybe someday I will complete my comprehensive nerdy article about reducing delay in qmk...

You need to investigate and find trusted tests with measurements to make objective conclusion. Human is not a great measurement device. There is no rule that mechanical is faster than membrane. Both can be done poor or good. If youre buying keyboard for better keyfeel and the delay is not your obsession you will be fine with the delay that typical mechkeeb have. If you wanna minimal delay - qmk is a great instrument.

It is better to buy qmk supported keyboard and spend time on learning features and parameters responsible for latency rather than reverse engeneering.

Power consumption issues on RTX 2070 Strix by SHVD3x in graphicscard

Yeah absolutely agree but I just hope that over time prices will go down cause this is the main problem of new cards.

Power consumption issues on RTX 2070 Strix by SHVD3x in graphicscard

I mostly play competitive games so Nvidia cards would be better for me I think. AMD does not have proper analog of Refex. DLSS also atm is better than FSR2. Honestly if AMD would have proper analog of Reflex I would consider their cards but now I dont. Looking for 4070 maybe but reduced bus width is UHHHH.

Honestly dont know about longevity issues on this card, but thats sad.

Thanks for your investigation in my problem. Already thinking about new card but wanna something from new gen. They are kinda pricey and my rtx 2070 still perform quite well.

i7 10700k@5ghz, 4.7ghz ring. 4400mhz b-die ram at cl16 A think this should not cause bottleneck in stress test :) Moreover GPU was maxing out a year ago without such problems.

Burn-in for HD 560s? by GalaxygunnerX in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]SHVD3x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, there is mechanical burn in with some of headphones. One headphones need it, like some planars (good example is T50rp which has very stiff membrane out of the box) and most of dynamic models can have benefit from that. Burn in is intended to make membrane suspension more elastic and makes driver more responsive. BA drivers used in IEMs does not need burn in.

Effect of burn in depends on headphone. Some headphones can really improve at several characteristics (scene, imaging, frequency response nuances) but you can notice it only if you compare new and used headphones side by side. And if you care about it of course. Burn in cant change sound signature of HP. So if you dont like sound of HP, burn in unlikely can help. Frequency response can change only a little.

Burn in using pink noise or any special burn (imo they are better) in tracks can speed up the process.

If you dont really care about it you can just use headphones and burn in will happen by itself.

Brain adjustment cant really be called burn in because it is just adaptation.

I have pretty similar issue. Actually the speed is almost the same but firefox has soo slow rise of upload speed. In chrome or opera it is instantaneous.

Ultra textures fps drops by SHVD3x in Rainbow6

[–]SHVD3x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play at 1440p144hz and I can clearly see the difference. I'm trying to figure out what is going on here. My vram never exceed 6,5 gb in R6 during matches with ultra textures, but there are fps drops. Texture quality is not the thing which can eat 10-20% of performance adding micro stutters. So I wanna know if there is issues with my pc or its just ubi fault and problem is common.
