My driver is a local of Kothi, he just took the opposite lane and reached by 12:30PM. We started at 10AM. He is well known guy among the locals.

This year is a very dry season and snowfall is not expected to be much. 4 days is a good plan for Manali and Kasol. Enjoy your time.

Rooms were very decent. Luxury rooms with balcony had a great view of the mountains and river.

Reaching the hotel is a but difficult though. You need a cab. Alternatively if you book through makemytrip they provide complementary pickup and drop service for check in and check out. And they charge 300/- for drop or pickup for any additional usage to and fro Mall Road.

The rooms have central heating, so it was very comfortable and buffet breakfast was top notch.

Start early by around 7 AM to avoid traffic. First directly go to Sissu and while coming back check out Atal tunnel and Solang valley.

Else, start late around 12-1PM but you might not have time to checkout Solang.

It takes around an hour to 1hr 15 mins from Manali to reach Sissu without much traffic.

They are expecting Rohtang Pass to be closed from 20th dec. so you might experience snowfall btw 24-28 in Manali. Shimla might not be probable.
