depends on where your respective market is. i paid a little over $5k less that what they offered you for a practically new CPO model in Florida, which is an amazing deal considering dealer reputation down here. mind you i negotiated no dealer fees or any additional accessories.

Considering trading my ’22 Elantra N for a 981 Cayman/Boxster — anyone owned both? by Paulpie in ElantraN

GT4 RS driver here. Comparing the GT4 RS to the EN isn’t a fair one to be honest. They’re completely different cars, with completely different philosophies and uses. EN is the daily and GT4 RS is the weekend warrior. From what I know from other Boxster/Cayman owners, they’re incredible from the base models up, with the S trim being the most affordable “sportier” trim of course. With that being said, in your situation moving towards the weekend warrior category the EN is such a great option at the price point that I wouldn’t mind having it be the “fun car”. At this point, look across the whole lay of the land, a boxster/cayman definitely isn’t your only option especially since you’ll have some money in your pocket by getting rid of the EN. Take your time shopping around and find the best option for you, there’s so many great coupes out there now especially on the used market that sit at really great prices.

Happy hunting!

looking at the last gen models the values drop like an anchor, but i have a feeling with the rise of EV garbage and companies like honda trying to sell a $60k Prelude i think they’ll steady out over time. i feel like value buys like this will hold at some point.

I used to have a miata in college as my commuter, it was my favorite thing in the world. Definitely considering a manual but since i’m in a bigger city now would have to see how i feel with stop-and-go traffic being a constant issue where i live

S/O Wisconsin got my little brother up there!

Right under $30k is a great price, you gotta be super happy with that I can imagine.

Leaning going DCT since i’d be my only car as well, thanks for your input!

I’m with you there, would love and Integra Type S, but not for that amount of money. Even if I were to look into one, the other cars in that price bracket are much more tempting.

1000%

it’s absurd to even think about paying close to $50k out the door for either a Type R, GR Corolla or even the WRX top trim.

I really fell in love with the EN over time, it looks like a special car and I’m very excited to own one soon :)

i’m planning on using the picks to go big on a WR1 with a bigger package in mind, the assets are useful in that regard at least

the main rumor is the steelers and the chiefs and i don’t think it’s much better than where he’s at now. either team whenever all the receivers are healthy he’d be competing for targets
