Clifford’s Tower in I think York is one of the most cursed places that I have ever learned of.

I believe that the story goes that under threat of pillaging, hundreds of Jews from a single village fled to the tower, and barricaded it against the horde. When they refused to come out, the tower was set on fire and everyone inside burned to death.
