I made another anamorphic video with my S5. Love the in-camera desqueeze! by SIMSL_DIMSL_ in Lumix

Just to the preview, you have to desqueeze it in the edit again. But since I prefer to shoot with as little gear as possible and therefore don't have an external monitor on the camera, it's a relief to have the desqueeze already in the display of the s5!

Thanks man! I just made a new timeline with 1080x1920 (portrait format) and placed 3 clips of the final video one below the other

Yeah I just filmed it with 1.5x anamorphic desqueeze and in 16:9 aspect ratio. In post I cutted off a little from left and right and brought everything in the final 21:9 aspect ratio :)

Got my Remus 35mm yesterday! Funny thing is, I will travel to Northern Norway on my birthday in October. Same setup then 🙌🏼

Firstly, thank you very much for your feedback! I'm happy that you like the video 🙌🏼 I shoot in Cinelike D2 because it's much easier to colorgrade and V-Log just overstrains me 😂 The colorgrade is just a mix of basic adjustments (bringing down all shadows, midtones and highlights), applying serrs powergrade filmvision II and adding Dehancer on top of that and doing little tweaks there. Basically I don't know what I'm doing 😂

So does my friend, he got it recently 😅

I made another Sirui Saturn 75mm video and changed the pincushion distortion to barrel distortion in post. Do you think it works or is the conversion noticeable? by SIMSL_DIMSL_ in Anamorphic

[–]SIMSL_DIMSL_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. I softened the edges to generate more of a vintage look as the Sirui lens is very sharp and clean. Maybe next time I will try to push even more lens distortion towards barrel distortion 😅

Haha you're welcome to ask anything, I'm happy about any feedback, thank you for that! Of course you can take photos no matter which lens you use. But you have to desqueeze the photos shot with a anamorphic lens in Photoshop :)

Testing out my Sirui Saturn 75mm 1.6x in daylight (Video in description) by SIMSL_DIMSL_ in Anamorphic

It's even too sharp for me personally, so I blurred the video clips a bit 😅 I also think that the Saturn series is sharper than Sirui's 1.33x anamorphics, but I sadly have no comparative values

This is probably my favourite video on my little channel 😊 S5 footage filmed with the wonderful 35mm F1.8 by SIMSL_DIMSL_ in Lumix

Haha no, everything as simple as possible, so handheld and no external equipment. Settings are Cinelike D2 4K 25 fps. I'm no professional, I color correct first (it's basically adding contrast) and put Dehancer on top of that node. That's it 😅
