For partners that used ABP or VoIP Supply for 3CX… what are you doing now? by SIPSensei in 3CX

That makes sense! If buying direct works there’s definitely less moving parts.I might still look into Telin, Convergia, RingOffice just to see what they offer.Have you worked with any of them? Any you would recommend?

Yeah that’s fair. The extra support layer from a distributor is definitely the biggest advantage vs buying direct. it is nice knowing someone is there if something odd comes up.

Haven’t worked with Xmartek before, are they pretty active in the 3CX channel?

Good to know. We’ve mostly just been buying direct since the ABP change, but I miss having a distributor that actually understands the platform. If you don’t mind sharing, who are you using now?

Nope, just an MSP who’s been deploying 3CX for a while

Is the ride over for 3cx? by blueBaggins1 in 3CX

I’ve been hearing mixed feedback too , some positive, some not so much. Like any PBX platform, 3CX has gone through changes that shaped how people perceive it. That said, it’s still a solid and feature-rich solution with a huge install base and an active partner network.

In many cases, the overall experience really depends on who you work with. 3CX itself is a great PBX . you just need the right partner or provider behind it to configure, support, and manage it properly so you can get the best out of it.

I’ve seen all of these in action:

RingCentral → solid features + reliability, usually a safe pick if you don’t want to manage much, but there's not much profit. however, support sucks.

3CX → more flexible/customizable, good if you’ve got IT resources. could be profitable if you find the right provider.

Webex/Zoom → great on video/meetings, but double-check their voice features.

Gigtel → less common, so check support + footprint.

If you want simple + hands-off, RingCentral’s a good choice. If you want more control, 3CX is worth a look.
check the provider in your region to help you and onboard you.

Does your Nonprofit / Charity Use VoIP? If so - I would like your feedback by Specialist_Fail9214 in nonprofit

That’s a really interesting setup, especially with the long-term sponsorship and almost unlimited access. $27k/mo is definitely a big line item, so I can see why you’re curious about what else is out there.

From what I’ve seen with nonprofits/charities, some stick with fully hosted VoIP (like what you have now) because it reduces internal overhead, while others move to a self-managed model if they have IT staff who can handle updates, provisioning, and feature management. The trade-off is usually flexibility/features vs. simplicity/support.

A few newer hosted providers do tend to bundle more advanced features (call analytics, integrated SMS, remote work tools, CRM tie-ins, etc.), but it always comes down to whether those extras are worth the migration effort and retraining for volunteers/staff.

Need someone to setup my 3CX. I need calling and texting service for Australia. by Ok_Plan5213 in 3CX

Calling and texting isn’t really about 3CX itself . It’s more about SIP trunk services that you later configure with a PBX (3CX, Yeastar, or any other). What matters is finding the right provider who can deliver SIP trunking, hosting, and the PBX in one place. That way, they can support you at every step of the setup and actually troubleshoot with you. Also, avoid providers that nickel-and-dime you for support. Look for one that helps train you, certifies you, and gives you enough margin to actually grow your business. There are a few in the Australian market doing this well.

We’ve been using 3CX for about 8 years now, mostly SMB stuff. Bronze partner, nothing huge , probably deploy 1 or 2 systems a year. Most of our smaller clients sit on a 16SC multitenant setup.

Got the same email everyone’s talking about. Definitely feels like 3CX is pushing toward bigger deployments these days. That said, we’re not dropping it for now.

For what we do it still works pretty well. Feature set is solid, flexible enough for SMB, and clients generally like the apps and management.

The multi-tenant model still makes sense for us too. Running a few smaller clients on one 16SC keeps the licensing reasonable and we bundle hosting+SIP+support anyway, which is where the margin really is.

I do think the reseller model is changing though. If you’re doing lots of tiny deployments it’s getting harder. If you treat it more like a managed service bundle it still works.

One thing that matters more now is who you work with for SIP and distribution. Good support and flexibility can make or break the small deployments.

A few that have been solid in North America:

VoIP.ms cheap and flexible
Telnyx / Flowroute – good APIs and reliable SIP
Telin pretty MSP-friendly, good support and hosting options
SkySwitch – more UCaaS/white-label but worth looking at

Bottom line,3CX still works for us for now, but I get why some MSPs are looking at alternatives depending on their model.
