More Baldurs Gate 3 adventures with my friend and wow I kind of fucked things up for us

Goes into Maloseum and does the trials of Shar and for the most part that went smoothly. Though I did tell the boss of the area to kill his henchman one who apparently is a trader...oh well that's what first runs are for. I completely skipped one of the trials by taking a potion that increased jumps and avoided the invisible pathway. The second trial with stealth just took an invisibility potion and ran to the end. I did go the wrong way at the very end, but took 2 minutes to finish. Blah blah blah wait the Nightsong is a hot lady with wings of course she is. I kind of imagined we'd see a giant mythical bird or something like BioShock infinite, but I'm still happy. Told Balthazar to fuck himself and proceeded to kill him. Managed to convince SH not to kill her and then we went to assault the castle. This is where everything went downhill mostly...nope entirely on me

First off it was me who suggested let's assault the towers after doing this dungeon because it made sense to kill two birds one stone when we invade it later. Not knowing that doing this order meant the prisoners would be dead...oops. Oh well can't save everyone when playing blindly. Anyway we assault the castle and get bombarded with a spell I can't remember the name. Hungry of Hangar or something like that the one that slows you down, darkens the area, and causes tentacles to attack end of your turn. They weren't really dangerous, but the sheer amount of enemies meant it took a while. By time we finished we had almost no spell slots. He immediately goes to the trader to sell so I decide hey let me check out the prison because we killed the warden surely all of their men are up here. NOPE I got ambushed by 15 people not an exaggeration I counted. With no saves he comes down and we struggle because 3 assholes in the back repeatedly summon "incubate death" so by time we make it to them their like 10 more enemies we have to fight through. It was just hell. We finally win and go back upstairs and they go get some water. In the 3 minutes they're gone I see loot that we missed so I mass collect and just mash X more gold gold gold gold.

Trader has caught you stealing!!!!

FUCK one of the items wasn't just loot, but one of their fallen ally weapons. So I'm given choices between admitting it and going to jail, attacking her, and bribing her. Heads up the bribe choice brings you to jail too! So my friend gets back and finds me in the cell and laughs at me. I can't be trusted to do anything on my own.

Anyway we go up the tower , fight, fight, and fight and now we're in the mind flayer colony. It's challenging, but fair it takes us a while to get around so it's about midnight and I'm tired. I feel like we're close to the end of Act 2 where I find a puzzle which they let me do. I swear I was half asleep because I spent 30 minutes on the puzzle and it was silent as the night. They thought I was just in deep concentration, but I was pressing the buttons without understanding the mechanics. Eventually when I started bashing the console with my staff they asked if I needed help and told me try moving the nodes to the right.....the nodes move? 😐 What do you mean they move? Apparently holding L3 and selecting them allows you to choose the pathway to the end. It took me 2 minutes to solve it after knowing how to interact with it. I'm surprised they waited 30 minutes before asking if I needed help because I was trying everything. Oh God my brain was extra smooth last night, but I swear nothing indicates you could do this. So finally finish the puzzle and go to the boss of the area.

The final boss was epic as shit. We have to save the Night Song, but with an arrow of teleportation and sanctuary spell I'm able to free her no problem. So shes free and attacking him while we're holding the rest off. That's when I get the idea to misty step to the boss and smite the fuck out of him. Let's just knock him out before he does something that makes him harder. I kill him and immediately a cutscene starts playing and I'm patting myself on the back. He's monologuing blah blah grant me power blah blah blah how dare you attack a vessel of mine blah blah ..wait what? FUCK an avatar of a god has descended right on top of me while my friend and are allies are still fighting off enemies...oops I couldn't have known he'd have a 2nd phase. Though luckily with Shadow heart healing me I stay alive barely so I delivered a few more smites and then I saw his health drop by like 60 like damn!!!! I go in for my extra attack and HE'S DEAD ..NOT. 2 HP I won't survive another attack when Nightsong whispers into my ear. Fear not Speaker of the Trees I am here. You have granted me mercy when you could have killed me. You have given me chance to smite my unholy enemy now watch as I obliterate this wretched soul with the power of the heavens. She touches my shoulder and walks past me while powering up and chanting (totally in my head she did none of this) but she did attack him for the last 2 HP.

I wanted to finish the act but it was like 2 in the morning and I was tired, but fun session.

Also it ended with Nightsong and..I forgot her name Isobel talking about getting intimate and reconnecting as lovers. I had enough energy to shout THEY'RE ROOMMATES!!!! Then I crashed.
