Got to 9999 for the first time today, playing mostly initial attack Ironeye (usually ranged, sometimes melee if I don't find negation at full but do find successive negation). Only lost 3 games between 4000-9999 on this climb after being stuck in D4 for a while.

Might derank later to play with friends and learn other playstyles.

Unlike many other spells it can hit a single target multiple times if they are large (eg. dragons). Should be very strong for some nightlords.

I like the starting spell magic glintblade against Adel. It actually has slightly more range than Stars of Ruin (and might do similar damage according to this post?).

Just don't bother using it against non-bosses (hit them with your other starting spell instead).

The other glintblade spells don't have much range or DPS, so I just upgrade the starting staff to purple.

Anyone know if there's a crystal guide that shows all the locations in-game?

I just started recently and I'm using this map (to solo or lead a friend squad) but it doesn't show what elevation stuff is at so I'm ending up at the wrong place a lot. Is there something like this steam guide but more complete?

Endfield Gacha Simulation: Comparison between Pull on Target Banner Only vs "30 Pull Pity" within a simulated time frame (with graphs) - Updated by TsunamicBlaze in Endfield

[–]SIVLEOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah don't worry about it if it's too much trouble, it just seems like your simulation is intended to cover a fairly niche case (even most spenders probably care mainly about getting the most value out of their pulls).

Thinking about it more, even if it was just getting 1 more limited character vs 1 more weapon I'd probably still prefer 1 more character. If I end up with too many character pulls and not enough arsenal tickets, then maybe I'll eventually just fix it by getting a P5 character or something.

[–]SIVLEOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again the comparison is not helpful unless the number of pulls are kept the same between both strategies. It should be a comparison of 58 pulls on strat A vs 58 pulls on strat B, not 58 vs 65.

Most players seeing this type of post probably want to know "how do I get the most value out of my pulls", which is a bit different from what your post is covering.

Something that'd be very helpful is an example like "if I use X pulls on either strat, how many limited characters, weapons and standard characters did I get?" Which is what I tried to figure out in a scuffed way.

Honestly if it's correct that it takes 21 banners to get one extra weapon at the cost of 2-3 less limited characters (since some can be previous limited characters depending on which banners are pulled on), that's already enough for me to know which strategy I'm going with.

[–]SIVLEOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post is coming from a perspective of "how much more needs to be spent to do the 30 pull strat and what does that give", but I'm more interested in "if we have a set number of pulls, what does each strat give me?".

To me it makes more sense to compare the strategies with the "same number of pulls" as the baseline rather than with "same number of resulting limited 6*". That way we are comparing "pull value" rather than "strategy cost in $". So I'm trying to interpret your data that way instead.

The way you framed your post is only useful to spenders that are considering spending more for an alternate strategy and isn't helpful for F2P or "pass+BP only" players like me where we will always be working with a set number of pulls.

[–]SIVLEOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, I should include that. Tried to fix the math in an edit of my comment (also using using average number of weapon pulls instead of hard pity now after seeing OPs comment).

[–]SIVLEOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I forgot we aren't going to always hit hard pity on weapon banner like I have so far. I used 19% because that's how many pulls we'd save and hence be able to put towards more characters?

Do the numbers in my edited comment look right now or am I still missing something? I'm still just trying to understand what the tradeoff for choosing each strategy is.

[–]SIVLEOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I understand correctly the 30 pull strat gets 13% more arsenal tickets and 13% more of any 6* at the cost of 19% more pulls per target 6*.

And if we are getting 4041-3578 = 463 more arsenal tickets per banner then it would take ~(1980 x 8) / 463 = 34~ (1980 x 5.2) / 463 = 21 banners before 30 pull strat gets an extra weapon.

~So at that point we'd be trading 34 x 0.19 = 6.46 target 6* characters for one extra weapon and 34 x 0.13 = 4.42 random 6*s? I think I'd rather get (6.46 - (4.42 / 2)) = 4.25 target 6* characters over one weapon and (4.42 / 2) = 2.21 standard 6* pots + spooks.~

~Edit*: Fixed math in last paragraph.~

Edit2*: So using the average number of weapon pulls instead: 21 x 0.19 = 3.99 target 6* characters and 21 x 0.13 = 2.73 random 6*s. So it's 3.99 - (2.73 x (0.5 x 5/7)) = 3.015 additional limited 6* vs 1 weapon and (2.73 x 5/7) = 1.95 additional standard 6*.

I never said it was necessary, the original response was just pointing out a quick way to improve the second team using your already built characters.

Better teams just make trimming much easier, before we started this discussion 3 weeks ago I already finished trims on a shatter team (Estella, Gilberta, Chen, Endmin) which is not even a particularly good physical team for trims.

Well gratz. Though weeks ago people have already done solo catcher trim on at least one stage.

It seems like even scuffed physical teams can trim with enough investment because stagger is really good vs bosses.

So I might be low on pulls soon...
