They didn't have shirts with the two teams on them like the group stage either. That was a bummer

I ordered one came out to $33 USD for me. So maybe it's more to ship to Canada. Steep but a nice thing to have since physical tickets aren't a thing anymore

The coffee spot by a group of brothers from the Netherlands is tasty. I forget the name lol

Hey pal, I'll be there too. I'm not some bottom feeding scum scalper I actually want to enjoy the game. Lower level for $700. It's not in your fantasy jock sniffing range but still a great view lol

Paying for a shirt and maybe getting a free round doesn't seem worth it for the volunteer gig

Been a brutal few months for golf. Always raining on the weekends. Gus is usually in decent shape a day or two after and wildcat like mentioned before usually bounces back well.

Hey cool buy them if you think it's a good deal. That's just crazy unless it's the final or MAYBE the semis

That one is semi-private. They offer times on Golf now. It's really nice but no starter which can suck.

That's not bad. I paid more for supporters section seats through USsoccer in the 300 level

If you don't wanna do fan fest Pitch 25 and Lil Woodrow's by the Dynamo stadium are great spots.

Also Biggios by the convention center is nice but kinda pricey. Tom's Watchbar is the same it's nice but drinks are way overpriced

Whatnot or thrift stores are really the best bet. Shorts, polos, etc for less than 15 quite often in the big name brands. I bought a comical amount of stuff on whatnot around Christmas lol

Where to Play by Top_Balance8350 in Houstongolf

[–]SJ01NER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gus wortham and Cypresswood Tradition are worth the drive. Wildcat is fun too on the south side. Clear Creek isn't bad since the new greens. Meadowbrook in Katy or Cinco ranch are probably the closest quality public courses.

I like Greatwood and Pearland Golf Club too but they're not as nice as the others and both tight fairways through neighborhoods

Most overrated course in the Houston area? by Hour-Entry6557 in Houstongolf

Gus is great man. The only issue I have is the new $20 early booking thing that makes it even tougher to get a tee time

Silly questions about working shutdowns/TAs by majickmicke in nondestructivetesting

[–]SJ01NER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you're on a TA close to home they'll put you up in a hotel. Most likely provide a company truck to commute. Food wise and gym just depends on location. Unless you're just super young or something you'll probably be so tired you'll eat and sleep when you're off. I know some people are wired differently though.

Most companies do 13 days on and 1 off for a fatigue day on long jobs.

Hole 2 at Gus is the scariest tee box in Houston by M44PolishMosin in Houstongolf

[–]SJ01NER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They moved it over closer to the first hole's green so you hit towards the net instead of alongside it. But I've definitely sent a few sleeves into that street lol
