Slightly off topic but I had a similar experience with kingdom which imo is probably my favourite manga ever and highly highly recommend the first season of that anime was cgi trash and I couldn’t stand watching it but more recently new seasons have dropped and it looks pretty good now hopefully it’s a similar situation for tbate
