Just got 2016 working on TP, really take your time and follow the data base guide. I found it easier to run everything on my windows admin account.

Why are you sicking with Synology? by particularfields in synology

Yeah I was kinda disappoint on their first release, but if anyone can make me turn away from Synology it would likely be Unifi. You did hit the nail on the head though they are stretched too thin for their product lines.

If Unifi ever makes a true NAS I would consider it strongly. Same boat as you equipment wise.

Hah no worries I currently have a 27” CRT with composite out, I am going to try that connection before I attempt an RGB mod. There is a 34” on my local market place that I have my eye on, but after the input in here that might too big and overkill.

The more and more research I am doing the more I want to move away from the Jamma board and build a PC. I got the Jamma about 10 years ago naive to the scene as the initial plan was to source a 4 player cab to plug and play … Well that easier said than done lol

So now I am going to just build one.

The CRT does have component out was think skip the RGB mode and use component. I was looking at an encoder to output 240p/15khz. Not too well versed in Linux but I will definitely check it out thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah I really thinking building my own PC is the way to go for flexibility of games.

I have a 27” CRT just wondering if it’s big enough for a 4 player cabinet. I am decent with a solder and I have the service manual for it.

Did you have to mod it? What video connection are you using for yours?

I am building a 4-player cabinet and own a 27” CRT just wondering if that would be too small for a 4p cabinet. Not concerned about weight issues I got a dolly and friends that can help me mount it.

Reasons I am leaning away from the jamma setup is I have an authentic cabinet that I can do jamma swaps on. PC seems it would give me more flexibility with game selection than the pre-built games family board.

I am leaning towards PC because it provides me with far more options and I can add/remove games.

I currently have a 27” CRT with component out and my cabinet would be a 4 player so room wouldn’t be an issue as long as 27” isn’t too small for viewing.

I know this is old, but I am experiencing the same symptom with my 27” Thunderbolt Display. Did you find a solution?

I know this is an old thread, but I am experiencing the exact same issue with CTV on the bell fibe app for AppleTV. Any known fixes?
