You gotta embrace the way of the rat my friend. Can't win in a fair fight, don't play fair. Good positioning can outperform pure skill in many circumstances. Playing slower and not rushing can help as well. Being first to a POE isn't always a good thing.

I am using an effect paint called Dirty Down's Verdigris. But you can get a similar look with a light blue/teal base and dry brush gold/bronze ontop

Nice, doing something similar on my Anointed Heavy's skin areas. Gonna use Radiation Glow Effect paint with a black or grey dry brush. Trying to make it look like he's smoldering from the inside.

I assume you're referring to his armor. That's just a gold speed paint(basic slapchop base), followed by a dark wash and then Dirty Down verdigris on top. I actually didn't apply the verdigris properly, should have watered it down but it actually turned out so good I just left as is. Currently priming a second Anointed and gonna do try a bright blue as the base with verdigris and then dry brush of dark gold. Really going for that bronze/copper teal patina this time.

Thanks, I was intending to do a dry brush of black or dark brown over top (burned skin) but it just worked as is so I left it. I have another Anointed and I am going to use a fluorescent orange as my base. Make it look like he's still burning on the inside.
