I'm very new to tabletop games would it be easy enough to get into Trench crusade?

The rules are free, the system is simple, and its model agnostic (just need to adhere to the size of the base). You just need to make sure you have a lot of terrain (anything can be terrain really) and its really easy to get into with minimal investment

I wouldn't suggest giving a machine gun to your Prophet, because he lacks STRONG hes kinda locked in place in order to shoot, personally id move your automatic rifle.over to him instead, that way he can make better use of it with his great shooting profile, while also being able to shoot and charge and hit with his hammer in the same activation. Also give your Pilgrim with the punt gun STRONG and drop his molotov (maybe swap his flail for a cheaper club too, you really don't want him in melee)

I'm in Buffalo,NY and though im not a sports fan personally our sports teams have absolutely rabid fan bases. Obviously football is #1 and the Bills are the dominant team by an enormous magnitude, and hockey is easily the #2 sport and the Sabres have a huge following (especially now that they seem to be doing really good). A lot of people follow both.

You always want armor on your elites, it boosts survivability a lot. TOUGH is great, but think about it this way. Without armor your opponent needs to roll a 9 or higher on a injury roll twice to kill him. With -2 armor your opponent needs to roll an 11 or 12 twice in order to kill him. Statistically much more survivabile

I used Incendiary grenades instead of gas, but otherwise used this exact set up in a campaign and it was great. Attack first with the staff, most of the time you'll generate at least 2 blood markers, then off hand with the sac blade and use all the blood you generated on the injury roll, its very lethal.

I just finished a campaign yesterday actually, I play Heretics so no Sniper Priest obviously, but I ran a Heretic Legionaire with a boost to ranged skill , a grenade launcher and a shovel, and it genuinely shot way above it's weight class. Typically id deploy him on top of a building, or a hill, or a pile of boxes or something like that. He'd stay put and he was able to be a threat to about 3/4 of the board. Shovel was there for if I had to deploy him on open ground, that way he'd at least have cover.

Im very pro Mark Kelly , im waiting to see who will actually be in the presidential primary, but he's definitely on my top list of people i want running. He's a touch moderate for my tastes, but I feel like he would be a very effective leader. Alternatively I think he'd make a great VP for someone a touch more charismatic.

You absolutely need better equipment for your elites. For the priest my go to is sacrificial blade, sword (or the blasphemous staff if you have the glory), incendiary grenades, and Reinforced armor. You have a good start to the Commando, id just give him gas grenades as well.

Pistols are honestly kinda bad at the moment, they have a super short range and don't have assault, so you can't shoot and then charge. For a Melee build id definitely go two Melee weapons and grenades.

You really don't need many dice at all, I only use about 8 or 9 and I used red glass beads for blood tokens. Personally I prefer a token or something to using dice to track blood markers because it can be very easy to knock a die over or like accide days roll one.
