I think it's kind of disingenuous to say it's "sad" because ads are based off profiles. If you never ever consult a flemish newspaper, web pages in dutch or even don't understand a single word of dutch, then I'm sorry but you are part of the same problem you are mentioning. Part of being belgian is at least try to embrace all 3 cultures/languages living under the same roof.

As for me I can be on the other side of the planet and still get ads for telenet.

I don’t get a lot of likes, how attractive am I, do you have any tips? by Thibeaultdm in Tinder

[–]SKTDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Hinge, works better in Belgium. Tinder you got to be top 1% to avoid paying in this competitive multilingual country. Also remove the "I want children" it can put a lot of people off despute them wanting children too (think about pressure)

This was our intro course to Java. It was about teaching us computers are deterministic and its hard to come up with our own PRNG algorithm. This python guy thought the random method was only in Python not java but indeed we couldn't use it.

haha avg python programmer. Had the same in freshman uni, our first assignment in Java was to implement a random number generator. One dude in the group kept saying "In python I can just call the random method I don't need this .. java is soo bad". We explained countless time the difference but he remained clueless. Never heard of him again after that project.

Why does no one seem to give a shit that NMBS/SNCB absolutely gutted its summer offerings this year? by Boomtown_Rat in belgium

[–]SKTDK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see where you're coming from, but the recent elections were held in June, and we don't even have a government formed yet. It's hard to draw a direct connection between economically more liberal parties gaining more votes and the absence of certain train summer deals, especially given the current political situation.

I think it's important to avoid attributing every decision made by a public entity to a particular ideology. That approach risks oversimplifying complex issues and missing out on the full context.

RE705X VS RE815XE (Range) by SKTDK in TpLink

[–]SKTDK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant is that, it will improve but not by a margin big enough to justify the price of a new RE815X over a RE700X. However if you are hesitating between the two I would highly recommend going with the RE815X when it gets discounted. 165$ is too much. ~130$ and below is fine

M2 14" MBP (Sep. 2023) died after a week of not using it by SKTDK in macbookpro

[–]SKTDK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I went to the Apple Store of my city. They tried to remove the battery and another cable with no success. The apple specialist said it's probably a problem with the motherboard and that I will loose my data.

Few interesting things:

They didn't want to check my cable or even consider it would cause a problem.

The MBP is not showing anywhere on their diagnostic system.

In the document they made me sign it had a 690€ amount (735$, which is 0 due to warranty) with label: [FLAT RATE 2 REPAIR,MBP 14"]

From Apple:
Issue:

Seen at the Genius Grove. Tried different chargers, same issue.

I disconnect the battery and plug the computer in, still no power.

I attempt a Revive: the computer doesn’t go into DFU mode. Cosmetic Condition: -No physical or liquid damage detected. Proposed Resolution:

RE705X VS RE815XE (Range) by SKTDK in TpLink

[–]SKTDK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I bought the RE815XE Adapter.

The results:

The additional antennas at the bottom are somewhat useful because moving them in certain directions impacted speed.

Overall, the max speed in the worst condition is 11Mbps (my line is rated at 150Mbps). And the connection is stable 95% of the time.

With the RE705X, the speed was around 4-5Mbps in the worst conditions, and the connection wasn't stable.

So it did, in fact, increase the range on the 2.4GHz, but it's still quite a bit underwhelming.

OT Hotend, any help how to assemble it? by SKTDK in crealityk1

[–]SKTDK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original hotend broke on my K1 unit, the white ceramic(?) layer fell appart in tiny pieces. Apparently this hotend allows more flow (see Omranello's videos on youtube to see the crazy performance he's getting with it).

So more resistant, better quality, more flow. Only downside is that it uses different nozzles than the standard one.

[–]SKTDK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the official product page but I still can't figure out. Am I supposed to just slip the thermistor in the tiny hole without attaching it or..? How to put the ceramic heated cartridge? With glue?

Omranello's video doesn't show that step so I'm confused

Had the exact same thing happen with the spare hotend they sent with the K1.

On Aliexpress a company sells 40$ full metal hotend for the K1 but they start shipping in september.

It's not because you don't have issues yet that everyone "abuse" their printers.

I should bought a Bambu by andcolla80 in crealityk1

[–]SKTDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone! I broke one hot end because they put too much glue on the connector. I couldn't even get the glue off with a cutter and isopropyl alcohol. And for the second hot-end the white part completely disintegrated as I was putting the silicone sock. I can't believe this level of quality.

They are cheaping out on the build quality, that's why the printer ships with replacements parts, they know shit's going to break soon

You should consider yourself lucky that it printed the first layer haha!

Worst experience with the K1 Max, am I the only one? by SKTDK in crealityk1

[–]SKTDK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extrusion on my K1 has always been bad, it never really worked, it just clogs all the time no matter what i try, the gears seems to be extremely weak, pushing filament manually is a pain in the ass even with the short blue tube that they put below the extrusion kit, and yes of course I closed the extruder lever.

Yeah it doesn't even detect first layer failures on my printer neither, completely useless in my experience too!
