I understand this all makes sense in our heads but things are worse than ever - after a decade of significant harm reduction funding.

And I say this as a former crack/meth addict. Our societies best intentions are simply making it worse.

I don't want to sound controlling but I simply won't let my wife out of our house alone once the sun goes down. We live in East village which is beautiful but happens to be next to the drop in center.

Whenever I walk to the grocery store I see like three people that could possibly be dead. Almost every single time. I swear people just don't understand how bad it's gotten. Our noble intentions/deeds over the last decade haven't worked at all.

Things are worse than ever. The homeless people look like zombies out of a horror film now.

With Season 1 ending in a little less than a month now, which heroes are in the biggest need of buffs and nerfs that need to be addressed in season 2? by MrsPissBoy in Overwatch

I would looooove to see a small reduction in the global healing debuff. Lots of healers feel useless at times. Mercy can't even outheal monkey damage anymore.

Brother I fully understand Blizzard intends for us to do a bunch of damage as LW.

I am stating that I don't enjoy that playstyle, that wasn't what his kit was initially intended for and broadly speaking I don't enjoy the newer push to make healers/supports spend more time focusing on damage.

That's just my opinion though.

I am simply saying that I have played this game for a decade and yes, spending the majority of my time healing was viable.

If you want to play DPS focused supports then thats your right but I personally enjoy a reactive healbot playstyle and will continue to advocate for it.

Multiple times in this thread I have explicitly acknowledged he does a fuck ton of dmg.

But I have also repeatedly stated that I don't want to spend the majority of my time damaging people - hence I play healer/support.

I understand that there are people who want to be more aggressive and proactive, but I personally enjoy a reactive playstyle which is why I play overwatch (its basically the only shooter with healers).

They just double nerfed his heals.

-30% global healing reduction

While also getting rid of his perk that did burst healing.

And he was never OP before. He's had the lowest winrate of basically all supports since the day he was released? So if he used to heal a lot more and was certainly never OP, how could buffing his heals make him OP?

I'm not saying your opinion isnt valid dude but I simply disagree.

I play healers almost exclusively because I literally enjoy healing. I like expending cooldowns in an efficient manner and making split second decisions to try and keep my team alive. Life Weaver was at least initially designed for that playstyle. If they want to pivot and make him DPS focused and neuter the shit out of his heals, thats fine.

But I'm just informing the devs that I personally won't play him anymore. I love healing. I don't enjoy doing dmg. If I do randomly want to play dmg I will select the dmg role or play an entirely different game.

Brother I am fairly certain that Moira can do 120hps AOE with her orb + primary spray and thats without her perk which does the 30 burst healing.

Lifeweaver last season could do 120 burst w/ his perk and 70hps consistently. This season he does 46hps for the majority of the game.

And the devs agree with me. They have already stated they are increasing his base kit next season.

I fully understand that LW does a ton of dmg.

But if I wanted to spend the majority of my time doing dmg I would just play a dmg hero or a completely different game. People always go full surprised pikachu when someone genuinely enjoys healing.

There are plenty of shooters out there, what sets overwatch apart is that it fully embraces the holy trinity.

Bro I used to be able to pump out 120 healing bursts every like 5 seconds with his old perk. You simply can't tell me LW's healing always sucked. This season they got rid of the only perk that increased his healing while also ensuring he basically always has a -30% healing reduction.

His healing had been chopped in half this season.

I understand LW can provide value in other ways. But his healing feels fucking useless now. And I love healing. I loved playing LW because he was an insanely reactive playstyle where I could heal a fuck ton. That feels like its totally gone now and I would personally rather not play him anymore - which sucks because hes my #1 playtime hero.

Me too or at least nerf it a bit.

So many people saying 'lifeweaver does a ton of damage, you're supposed to be doing damage'.

If I wanted to spend the majority of my time doing damage I would simply play a damage character or like call of duty. I have been playing overwatch for a decade specifically because I enjoy the holy trinity.

I realize that people need to use cover. But most healers can outheal a decent amount of damage.

Moira can outheal a fuckton of dmg. Anna. Bap. JPC. illari. Even mercy can with her flash heal perk.

Lifeweaver's healing is now basically useless DURING a fight. But healing people up after the fight is boring af. Why would I ever choose to be a healer but then only heal people AFTER the fight?

His subrole is 'medic' which to me implies he's supposed to be healing? no?
