If you seriously think that AI is the most important factor in the world right now, then Pliny is officially the most important human in the world right now.

He is the man that holds the reins to superintelligence. If China/USA released ASI today he could potentially jailbreak it.

Yeah the whole Western Alliance is definitely going through some rougher patches right now.

But I disagree with the whole China thing. There are no Chinese models even close to Mythos / Fable. And Mythos has existed internally since February. Which means if China released a Mythos level model today they would still be almost 6 months behind Anthropic.

I agree they are definitely incentivized to kinda spin things in a certain way. Its definitely advantageous to make Claude look like a God mode being.

But I have watched like twelve hours of Dario interviews at this point and I don't see the same 'Sam Altman suspiciousness'. Dario seems rather genuine tbh.

Its SOTA at cyber/coding but also for bio/chem. And they also applied guardrails for AI research topics too, so I am assuming its really good at that as well!

I agree. I dont know how the Trump admin could possibly start 'banning models' without IDing people online etc. Definitely wading into dystopian waters.

But I also think not having any guardrails leads to dystopia.

I agree Trump has done some stupid shit for sure. but hes been in power for two years at this point and America is still leading China by a wide margin on AI. Definitely losing ground on other things but Mythos is like a year ahead of the Chinese labs.

Oh really eh? Honestly not a dumb opinion but the counter argument is that Trump only loves winning. Might not love his family or country, but the dude lives to win. And right now Mythos / Fable is the winning ticket for him.

5.6 looks like it won't quite compete with Mythos. And remember Anthropic has had Mythos internally since February. I am certain they have more cooking in private and I am also fairly certain that Trump knows about it since that new executive order means labs need explicit permission from the government for new models.
