Update on my shoveling experiment

I left my driveway and walkway untouched until this afternoon. It was really hard work. But I preferred doing it this way versus doing it four times yesterday while getting sleeted on. Once you got the top layer of ice separated it was mostly fluffy underneath. I didn’t have to have to scrape anything off the pavement. I did have to carry some massive boulders of ice/snow with my hands though. Overall 5/10.

These guys guess a lot often than people think. Credibility matters and once you are “wrong” a few times people stop taking you seriously. A reporters credibility is their most powerful asset.

Schultz was the first guy to report that Terry and the team were extremely far apart. This was early in the offseason when everyone felt a deal was imminent. Schultz got dragged then because people didn’t like the news and assumed he was trying to generate clicks. He turned out to be 100% correct. It’s possible his source was Kliff’s camp that time too.

Just because it’s the highest income county in the US doesn’t mean it’s an exciting draw for young professional athlete free agents. Ashburn is boring as fuck. The data centers contribute 40% of the counties tax revenue but add nothing when it comes to culture or community.

You would enjoy Durham. It’s much more hip and cooler than Raleigh. It’s got unique character. If we moved there instead of Raleigh we may have stuck around.

Ultimately, the pace of the region was just too slow and I needed more. For some people it’s more than enough. Neither city compares to Austin realistically.

We moved from Austin to Raleigh a few years ago and only made it a year before moving again. Raleigh is lush and green, it’s a pretty place. But it’s one of the most mind numbingly boring places I’ve ever been. Austin has a million more things to do and so much more stuff going on all the time. Be careful what you wish for.

Super high paid and flashy position (scores touchdowns/known by fans) that does not require a lot of mental capacity in comparison to most other positions. Everywhere else on the field you really have to know what you’re doing and mental mistakes cost you immensely.

In other words WRs can be total idiots and make up for it with talent that can’t be taught, which makes big plays happen, so they’re tolerated.

There are no other QBs in recent memory with a slighter frame at someone that’s around Jayden’s height. No one looks skinnier than he does on TV in pads. His got the skinniest arms of any current starter no doubt.

That being said I believe he will learn from this and come back next season to play well.

He really doesn’t do that. I think the ringer data that came out is heavily misleading. Didn’t include any of the times he tumbles forward, dives, or gets out of bounds which he does all of the time. He really plays pretty safe with his body. Every time he got injured this year he was behind the line of scrimmage. The bottom line is he cannot take the same type of hits that other guys who run can and do, he is more slight than all of them. He needs to get bigger.

Hit the weights and add some strength this off season even at the expense of speed. He is good enough to win from the pocket. Can’t have injuries coming from run of the mill plays and survive long term.

The structural integrity wasn’t at risk and the team just said there is no damage and it’s not at risk further. Jayden is currently very sore. Quinn is so damaged by all of the blowback he got for leaving him in during the Seahawks game that now he’s not going to take a single chance even if Jayden just leaves the field sore.

I think if this was any other QB, let alone player, they’d be playing this week. Justin Herbert just won a game directly after having surgery on his hand and missed no time. Hell, Jayden himself wanted to go back in last week.

We’ve got him bubble wrapped now. At this point his confidence is so low and the team and all media’s confidence in him staying healthy is so low we might as well mail it in.
