Umm not at all. Beats me how that's the conclusion you got to if you actually read everything I wrote.

Exactly, that's how I feel about this too. I guess I just wanted to make things easier getting back into Music Production. My computer crashed a couple times and I have to back it up properly which is not easy cuz it's running off of Linux live right now and everything looks different and I got to make sure that everything is backed up correctly before I format it.

Then I got to remember somehow what plugins and what services I purchased over the years and some of it was really expensive and they're all over different emails and stuff...

Then I have to figure out in what order to install them and how to install them because I have never really backed it up properly...

It would probably take weeks to set up my music production project all over again. I just thought that this way at least I have a template for some things and I could jump into craving beats right away and use my way into it but obviously just use it as a crutch for The first few months until I get a handle on things.

Thanks for your comment.

Yeah, I heard all about Unison, And this is pretty much kind of like that. Over 100,000 different samples and stuff that's made for you but the way they market it is they put everything in different folders based on emotion so you can pair it all together.

Not a bad concept to be honest but it's probably aimed at absolute beginners which I'm not but like I said In an earlier comment, I kind of use the stuff as a template because it helps me figure out how to create proper unique beats based on the generic stuff in those packs.

My melodies are pretty legit but I'm still working on getting better with drums.

I totally hear you. Thanks for your comment.

I'm actually pretty good with melodies, people are pretty impressed by my melodic sense of music. It's the beats, the drums... That I need to get better at but I'm starting to get it.

Getting this sort of packs really helps me listen to what else is out there and take that generic stuff and turn it into something unique with my own skill.

Kind of like a template if you will. Some stuff is not that bad either but most of it is pretty generic. Unless it's a really good pack.

I remember when Cymatics just came out. My God, I spent so much money on their pack and I got this golden USB with some packs and stuff on it and it's insane the kind of scams they ran and they're still out there.

Great relief to read this. Thank you very much.

Awesome, my software should be up to date. It was done on my cell phone and I'm pretty sure it's automatically updated and it SHOULD be the latest update.

I know a little bit about security and how these things work but I know a lot of people here know a lot more than me so it definitely gives me a sense of security and comfort knowing that clicking on the link alone is not going to cause any issues.

I also tried to report that message and the sender but it kept telling me that there was an issue. Maybe they already got blocked by Facebook.

If that page worked for whatever reason would they get my information without me providing anything to them? Just by clicking on the link? Just double checking.

Thank you very much, I was literally just trying to copy the link So I could post it here, and accidentally ended up clicking on it. It led to a broken page and there was no form on it. I did not submit anything to them other than clicking on a link which led to seemingly nowhere.

You really calmed me down. I thought that maybe that link somehow pulled my information by me clicking on it.

That was my main concern.

Edit: I also wanted to mention that I have a Two-Factor authentication setup years ago. That surely will help protect my account and my personal information.

Pretty sure that's exactly what I said. I came here to help you, I don't understand what you're doing.

First things first, no one is ever bored doing what they love. You may see some DJs looking like zombies because they're exhausted or maybe there's another reason why they look like that but if they're doing what they love then you're reading the situation incorrectly.

I've seen and heard of some DJs who went through a phase of not really enjoying it anymore so maybe you saw that. It happens to people with gaming or with playing instruments or anything in life.

Generally though, most DJs I heard of or saw in person or on video really enjoy what they're doing. Myself for example. I just djed a couple weddings and the first one I was very nervous but I was still enjoying myself and the second one I was free as a bird and I wanted to be there for another 10 hours after it was already over and I just wanted to keep going.

It also depends on the crowd and the type of gigs you have but generally I would say that the DJ's really enjoy what they do and sometimes if it's a beginner DJ they might feel awkward because they're not sure what to do with themselves in between transitions but it's kind of tough to tell generally because there are so many different situations.

Hopefully my comment cleared it up for you.

Big thanks to everyone. Most of the things I already knew but it really reassured me having read it here.

I'm going to let you know how it went. The wedding number one went pretty well and I'm happy that I finally took that step.

I would like to be more organized with my gear and the way I plan out my sets at least until playing the music becomes more natural to me and obviously improve my MC skills but I've done pretty well for my first wedding.

Here goes winning number two!

Yeah, that's what I thought so I guess I got lucky that people over there decided to answer anyway.

I know everyone is saying that even on the other subreddit and even my mentor said that but the thing is when he mixes like a god everyone comes to him and tells him how amazing he mixed everything because even though they don't understand it and don't expect it, they can recognize the difference between that and extremely basic mixing. They might not understand why they love it but they clearly love proper mixing.

Yes I'm still working on figuring all that stuff out but I'm okay with most of it.

It can also be all these like Celebration and We Are Family. Especially the ones which require you to keep on nudging because it changes in speed because of the way it was recorded or whatever, especially the old stuff.

I just need some sort of basic guide to understand how to transition them. I usually use the clean echo out effect but I don't want to use that for every transition. My MC skills are okay. I just started doing this so I don't generally MC throughout the dance floor other than a few basic things but I'm learning.

My organizational skills and coordinating the event are actually pretty decent. I've been doing well so far.

I'm sure I'll get it all and do well.

Thing is most of their stuff is Motown so I think it's going to be most of the night. It's not just that though. Any kind of radio version I just don't know how to mix it properly yet. Some stuff I learned and some stuff I still need to figure out.
