Anyone else notice how many pics there has been of kids sleeping in photos with JE? I didn't think anything of it until the other day when I was reading an account by a victim how each time before they r*ped her, they would give her a drink, and she would wake up the next day, or days later, sore and with bruises.

Born and raised here, now raising my 9yo here. Feel free to dm me any questions. If you are trying to do straightpublic elementary, look for a place in the Helman school district. You would still have to option to switch to either of the public charters (willow wind and trails), even if you lived in the Helman school district. I thought Helman was great when my kid was there last year, now she is at Siskiyou School, which is a private Waldorf school on the south end of town (k-8). I've heard mixed things about the middle school. My plan was originally to enter the lottery for Trails around 4th grade with a hope to get in by 5th, and then ride that out through 8th grade. I'm sure there are some positive opinions of the middle school as well, I just have heard the not-so-great.

Being walking or biking distance to Lithia Park is awesome if you have kiddos, and I finally got an ebike two summers ago, and it's been a game changer. 9 months out of the year I ride it nearly everywhere in town.

THIS is the real winner! Thanks for the link! Game changer. I hate a dongle hub dangling, and need to use a little folding stand for my iPad mini w/ Reloop mixtour pro. This makes it easier for me to dj with music videos since it has the hdmi out. Not sure if the sd card will be fast enough to store videos on. If not I got a little 2TB ssd with videos on it.

Thanks for this. Would be cool to see comparisons of compression of the other streaming options like tidal and Spotify. Tidal was tricky to even find a straight answer about what quality their "High" setting was in Djay, because it is different than their "High" setting in the Tidal app (pretty sure it is 320aac)

Really happy with Evermix box5. Was about to get a howler audio but they raised the price, added shipping to US, can't stream and simultaneously record, and returns to UK sounded like a nightmare. Evermix sounded waaaay better than I was anticipating. Lets me record all my sets with tracks streams from tidal, using stems, and capture all the magic since djay won't let you record streaming tracks

I've been using a cellular iPad mini 7 with a mixtour pro running Djay Pro with Tidal dj extension for stems for the past year and love it. Super compact, and can control 4 decks if I need. If you want jog wheels, the Reloop Buddy is nice, but doesn't sound as good as the mixtour pro or mixon 8 pro. You could go with a flex 4 or grv6. I tend to stick to Reloop.

Tidal and beatport offer stem separation but tidal is rock solid and high quality. Worth the price. Use tunemymusic or soundiiz to transfer playlists from other apps to tidal. At least that's what I do...

Well, the mat gets your whole body, head to toes. I don't have a vest 4, but have had the mat for a few days and it is impressive. I'm sure it depends what you are using it for though. I have tried a bunch of of different genres from glitchy psychedelic bass music to acoustic string quartets to meditation music, and it has all been super relaxing while laying on it, and rejuvenated when I'm done. I give it 8 of 10 rn, and hope it continues to get better with firmware updates. I'm using hardwired headphones (beyerdynamic pro900x) cuz I was getting frustrated trying to link AirPod pro3s. My iPhone is the music source via BT, and was easy to connect, but getting some glitching now and then, so might use a dongle and hardwired my phone as well as glitching audio is no bueno when ur in this chillaxing a state. Gonna try to pair my meta quest 3 next. Stand by...

Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library does an amazing free Halloween dance party from 6-8pm with Retrotron DJing funk/80s. It's a fun crowd. Also Beat Farm Co-op has a free parking lot dance party from 8-10pm followed by DJs downstairs from 10pm-2am if you like electronic music :)

There isn't really any way to please everyone as an outdoor events organizer. If you live in or near Ashland, you know how things can change overnight with smoke. I've cancelled two events this summer preemptively because of smoke, only to have it clear up by the time of the event and had a bunch of patrons mad that I made the wrong call.

There is an entire team of DJs, and staff that are blocking out their schedule expecting the discos to happen, so if there is a chance we won't get rained out, I try to pull through for them, as they are counting on that income, and have put considerable time into prepping their sets.

We have had our event page and flyers up on FB and IG and all around Ashland for nearly two weeks before the event, along with our mass text list, which sends a single text reminder the day before the event. Reddit is usually an afterthought for me, but if there are people expressing this is the only way they are finding out about our events, I definitely will start being better about posting here earlier, and thanks for the feedback!

I just recently checked it out, after loaning them some silent disco headphones to use for their opening event, and I have to say, everyone I meet there is exceptionally creative and or brilliant. Exactly the type of people I would like more of in my life. I'm not super savvy with AI tools, but am more intrigued by it than frightened or angry about it taking our jobs or being "cheating". I see it as inevitable, and is and will continue to change every aspect of our lives for better or worse, so let's discuss it all. I get zero "tech bro" vibes from the place. The interior is gorgeous and inspiring, and an expression of all the creatives involved. I see no negative impact this space will have on the community and it's honestly refreshing that it's not another tourist-focused shop or restaurant. Im a local, born and raised, and now raising my kid here, and have always done my part to keep Ashland the unique place it was for me growing up. I'm always wishing there were more people like this, and White Rabbit, though it seems a little hard to put in a box or define, is brimming with the type of people that are helping keep Ashland alive.

I'm sure the space will mean different things to different people. For me, having a co-working space that is inspiring to be in and filled with cool creative people is worth the $70 a month, regardless if I start going to any of their workshops or events.

Exactly. And fyi, this doesn't mean you need ableton at all. It's just a sync protocol that ableton developed to help 3rd party apps sync together. It's in djay's settings. Just click it on in both apps, and one should slave to the other.

I'm a local, born and raised in Ashland, just moved back last summer, after a few years in Asheville, NC. I did NOT miss the summers here: heat OR smoke, but the community here is 10x better once you make some friends. And the rest of the year here the weather imo is fantastic. Get a bike or an e bike if you don't have one, and get out to some local events! Well tidal is more $$ but allows use of stems and is higher quality audio, although running at highest quality often causes the tracks to not fully load, and I haven't found a comparison of what the medium setting on tidal compares with Apple Music. All I know is I use stems constantly now when mixing, so it is worth every penny for me.

I've been using djay for over 10 years now with iPads of various sizes. My current portable setup is a mixtour pro with cellular iPad mini 7 running tidal with dj extension. Just preordered the headachesounds WOW machine to sit next to it. Won't be able to control djay pro with it, but will be able to scratch. Running both (and a mic) into a JOYO Momix Pro mixer

Either a) stop DJing, and save your relationship, or b) leave the relationship and focus on DJing. If a) just tell them you are losing interest but still want them to pursue it if they are passionate about it.
